  1. Just who did you kill to get these????
  2. Congratulations.... a sweet piece.... and a proud owner.
  3. Applause, applause.... innovative and professional approach.
  4. Whow... that sure brings back memories. Some 25 years ago my big dream was building a Ferrari 365 Daytona Spider on a Corvette chassis. It was the car used in the Miami Vice series and the frontliner in Kitcar Magazine... Of course I was nowhere near having the funds...but it was a nice dream...
  5. To me, every shipment of a rep through customs is a potential risk. What I would do is have the watch serviced. Irrespective of the dealers responsability to send you a working watch, the ROO @12 sooner or later needs proper servicing, preferably with a graphite treatment. Since it is a rather expensive rep and provided you consider it a keeper, the investment is worth it. In that process, the hands would be a no issue since they would have to be removed by the watchsmith anyway.
  6. It's all about the right tools.... great job.
  7. In order for members to suggest potential watchsmiths/modder to send your watch to, you should identify your whereabouts (Conus, EU, Asia....)
  8. Provided the hand is ok (tube not damaged) - what you need to do is the following: Unscrew the caseback screws. Remove caseback. Unscrew 2 movement-holder screws. Carefully push the release button of the stem and remove Stem. Remove movement. Re-attach chrono hand.
  9. And why not have it serviced by a watchsmith? AFAIK... water does not dissolve a movement and a professional cleaning, oiling and regulating should do the trick. If you have never swapped a movement yourself (which implies that you don't have the respective tools) , you are likely to ruin even more than you are trying to repair. Bottom line is: invest the money in a professional service rather than a rep replacement engine...
  10. a "little" TLC goes a looooooooooooong way...
  11. only your dial should glow.... not you...
  12. Abracadabra.... very cool. Seiko should actually produce this model.
  13. The EOD (@asim... the black steel one... ) is a real classic. I wish they would finally make a sec@12 version of that. Great watches, wear them well....
  14. Cam battery is dead so stockshot only....
  15. Great pictures. I went to Mauritius for my honeymoon.... a beautiful Island....
  16. AFAIK there are none. The numbers just dont make sense....
