unless she's the love of your life (and you believe in that concept) you should never date someone who works for you. Even then you should get her another job pronto... There is a Germany saying for this: "IM TEAM NIE INTIM" - it rhymes nicely and means "never get intimate with one from your team"

Ok... here we go: first, the ever popular [censored]-in-your-hand...oops, sorry shitinerand then, the famous dotona... watch the perfect finish of the case, gentlemen! This is a rare, pre-production model. Since then, the Dotona movements have become less complicated... and.. to finish you off... the Lobomir Marina see you later... I'll go puke...

I think Kanerich has summed it up best and I agree 100% with what he wrote. It is natural that as buyers of reps we are trying to find little excuses for what we are doing here and for some strange reason stealing Intellectual Property is widely regarded as being "not as bad" as stealing someone’s "hard" property (i.e. car). All of the kids who download movies and music on torrent and don't loose one minute of sleep about it, would cry "foul" if anyone stole their ipod or mobile phone. There is also this stupid wannabe-Robin-Hood concept that the big companies (like Rolex) may be ripped off because they are big. In this case, size does not matter. Weather you are a small programmer or inventor, who's invention is being stolen by a big company or you're a big company, who's invention is being stolen by a small guy... both is illegal and not ok. We all do illegal things from time to time - it's a fact of life. Certainly the lawyer who hunts rep manufacturers for Rolex will be caught speeding one day. Or maybe he uses some questionable tax scheme to save a buck. Or he'll cheat his wife. We're human. But to try and argue (no matter how eloquent and persuasive) that this is perfectly legal is only BS.

I don't think so... my Opera browser has a zoom feature and I looks like the standard recessed CP. Nice watch nontheless...

Panerai doesn't build this watch for a reason! (....cause it's fugly!)

Paris is certainly a particular city when it comes to this....but I agree with you Usil, I would not have one single calm moment leaving this beauty on the street, out of sight...

I think the general consensus is a good one... move Flip to the Humor section (I really laughed about Svdiwad's "FLB's Tips and Tricks for the Neandrathal Trainee Watchmaker") and maybe force him to use an avatar with a "Careful, Humor!" warning.... (... and don't dry your cat in the microwave!) Even though some people have hit hard on him, he has always been fairspoken... not at all like thatwannabesexyidiot... whose post made me angry in no time. Flip's stuff is a good laugh...

Member "thatsexystud" response. What say you RWG members?
chubbchubb replied to RWG Technical's topic in The looney bin
To go from zero to 60 in no time and insult family shows the real personality that no stilted language can disguise. Inside "thatsexystud" lives a rather primitive creature imho. I think the ban was justified. The Zigmeister... just take a deep breath -
that's one mean machine... enjoy!

A beautiful piece... I look forward to seeing some pictures of the actual watch delivered. On the other hand... imagine: a million bucks around your wrist - one of two produced each year.... Unless you're a Sheik - that watch definitely puts a big "REP" sign on your forehead...

This is a very beautiful watch, Omega and the post was a fun read. My own intention - looking at the pictures when opening the thread - was gen. As Ubi said later... too many gen parts to make sense as a rep. I would however invest a couple of bucks and buy a new 127. My envy shall haunt you....

The one thing I like about PP is that my CC info stays within a reputable organization and only the cash goes to the recipient. Even though I "trust" Trusty/Andrew to a certain level, I would never in my dreams buy with a direct cc charge from his (or any other rep dealer's) website (no offense meant).

Pam232 Pvd - Final Pvd Project - 100mm Macro Lens Shots

Very nice Rolli, was it difficult to PVD the crown? -
Let me start by saying that this technique is not my discovery but based on a quote by Bill (TJGladeraider) in another post here in this section. But since “seeing is believing”, I took pictures of my attempt with this technique and would like to share them with you. Sometimes you have the need to reposition or replace the cyclops on a crystal. Reasons could be bad magnification of the cyclops or incorrect position of the cyclops over the date window. The fastest and non-destructive way to separate the crystal and the cyclops is with heat: Before we start, remember, this only works with a crystal made from real or syntetic saphire or mineral glass. Don't try this on a vintage plexi crystal.... (and don't dry your cat in the microwave....) Tools we will need ..... include a lighter, a razor blade and pliers Hold the crystal with the pliers and move the flame over the cyclops. Don't hold it in position, move left and right. This will take no more than 25-40 seconds. The cyclops will simply fall off as the heat destroys the glue - make sure you are working over a soft, visible surface (piece of white paper on a magazine will do) so that it does not get lost. Now, all that's left to do is to move the blade carefully and in a pretty flat angle over the crystal, removing remains of glue and soot and to do the same with the flat side of the cyclops. Now you are ready to install the crystal with a crystal press and to reglue the old or fit a new cyclops with UV cement. Pretty easy.... (thanks, Bill) PS: I do not know how this technique affects AR coating. Chubbchubb

I once damaged the AR when fitting the crystal on a PAM... had to remove the remaining AR. I used nail-polish remover... and a lot of patience...
