I removed the crown and stem from the watch and want to install a new one. There's a little screw right by the stem that you have to unscrew to remove insert. I got the replacement in there but it didn't seem to go in all the way. I couldn't wind the watch or pull it out to set the time.
Is there a trick to getting the new stem in there?
If this is the same watch that's on Josh's site, I'm amazed. Your pics make it look like an entirely different watch. And for 198... uh, no brainer. Looking forward to the more detailed review.
I agree with FGD, if I were to have just one PAM for every day, it would be the 104, really just because of the date function. It is fun to "interact" with the handwound watch though.
Hey, D -- don't you agree that the Lello DW makes all the difference? Standard cartel crystal or no. Only difference really is that DSN's is a bit larger from the looks of it, though I don't know the specifics.
That watch is in amazing shape. You know what's funny, though. Given that the word "COMEX" is on the dial, 90-95% of non-collectors will immediately deem it fugazi. They'll have no idea how special a watch it is.
Hard work, I know, but completely worth it in the end. Every time I see one of these fully modded subs I get the urge to get one. But without a trip to the frozen north it's an impossibility. Wear it well. What a great piece.
