  1. And what say the rumor about the price - included working power reserve, "transferred" datedrive and same quality as existing best IWCs ?
  2. Do not look like fraud to me. There is a whole lot of volume sellers on EBay that do not accept Paypal due to the high fees - particularly for lower priced items. I sold a watch recently at $120. Paypal fee $5. If my situation was running a low margin business I probably would try to avoid this fee. Or - as some do - put a bit extra to the price to cover for fees. Anyway, as far as I read the Ebay rules you will be covered for up to $200 by Ebay in case of bogus. Check out http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/payment.html#3 If fraud your risk seems to be around $250. Lots of money, but also lots less than $450.
  3. Call. I have had some items (shipped UPS, Fedex and EMS) which tracking stated arrived at Oslo AP for several days. Actually shipper had tried to deliver to my domestic address, but nobody to answer the bell. A nice phone call redirected them to deliver at my office address (no extra charge). If you have an actuel customs issue "they" will catch up with you anyway.
  4. Welcome. Let us be nice - and humble towards their knowledge - to the members from more civilized parts of the planet.
  5. Yepp, very high IQ. Like all Norwegians. :beta:
  6. Had a close look at the gen at an AD i Stockholm a few weeks ago. Price there was SEK 57.000 for SS (3714). Probably appr 5.500$ in "cheaper countries". Could not see any particular differences staright away, but the "feel and substance" was absolutely "classier" with the gen. Of course. Had mine (Silix) for two months now and wrist time every single day. Love it. No problems so far, neither chrono (which I use now and then) nor running seconds, besides incredible sensitive to adjust correctly compared to ETAs I have adjusted earlier. If it shuts down I have had a pleasant time with an incredible nice looking watch.
  7. I contacted Neil for a 074 in the weekend 10-12 days ago. Go his answer/confirmation a week later. Paid for the watch this weekend. Still no sign of confirmation of order or shipping. I am fully trusting the honored forum members recomendation of Neil and his quality line. Watch will definetely show up in some weeks. Give him a few days more to respond. Acc to forums recomendations Neils "Noobmariner" is absolutely best buy in its class.
  8. I traveled China N to S and E to W for three weeks last year (second visit). Replicas everywhere, mostly crap, but also some decent. Anyway, I did not find any nearly as good as what the dealers on the forum provides. The dealers has the best contacts and access to the hidden factories and buying in quantitis (over time) to have the best prices and most (all?) providing some sort of return/guarantee if things break up. I would have trusted the dealers to provide the most bang for bucks. But, of course, it would have been interesting to do some shopping at the "hidden factories". mums-mums
  9. If you do not care for "brands you cuold try a Invicta 9937/38. Eta 2824, Sapphire, top class case, fantastic bracelet, hacking, beautiful details etc. IMHO a bargain at appr $300. But you won't find it here.
  10. As I see it, a "copy" of a Rolex could very well be as good as a gen Rolex. But, it would probably cost at least a Tudor. For my part I will not pay Tudor price to get a Rolex "copy". Would rather buy a Tudor gen og Omega gen. What I am looking for with reps is the 99% perfect for 9,9% of the gen price. And keeping the price of each rep down to a (very) few hundred $. Well, it is a paradox in the question of the "perfect sub".......... The perfect replica of a gen -in the meaning of being exactly the same as the gen - do not exist. When it exists it is a gen - otherwise it would not be exactly the same.
  11. Fully agree to the above posts. I am fascinated by the fine mechanics and 'jewelry' of mid/high end watches, but I am no way willing (maybe able now and then) to pay 5-10K or more for a gen, when I can have 90% of the finish and mech quality for 10% of the price of the gen. I have been "looking at" replicas for a couple of years, but bought my first some six weeks ago. An IWC Porto Chrono from Silix which I am very impressed by and comfortable with (both SIlix and the IWC). Before I found RWG I did not feel confident with any of the replica dealers in the "open". Actually I considered George/WM9, but ended every time at the conclusion that 500-600 for my first rep was too much as long as I more or less knew nothing about reps. I have a few gens (vintage Omegas and other Swiss) which is resting in the box and not getting wristtime at all. Probably paid a little to much for them, but like to keep and look at now and then. The only "gen" I have that I consider a "good deal" is my Invicta 9937 at 300$. Keeps excellent time, nice sub design, holds any beating with only minor scratches and has the "substance". I am certainly going to get me a couple of new reps (a basic collection) coming months, but no plans for any gen.
  12. Checked the listing. Sold for $787. "Crime" pays.
  13. Hei og velkommen. I have shopped one replica from Silix (Shanghai) and a lot of watches (genuines) from other sources in S-America, USA, Phillipines, Thailand etc. I only shop from vendors that accept Paypal or similar service. Other solutions (direct credit card, bank transfer etc) in my opinion either to risky or to expensive. No problems with Paypal. Sending you an IM regarding shipping and customs etc.

    2846 ?

It says ETA and it says ROLEX. Don't look like gen ETA 2824/2836. How about Chinese ?
  15. Item now removed by EBay. Thx for being alert.
  16. Thx for all useful and instructive advices. Regarding the "The Replica Watch Report" it is also available as downloadable (and printable partly or totally) PDF from same source as the printed book. Very practical when residing at the other end of the world. evenR4u
