  1. DW likes to do a disappearing act. The trick is to get him when he first appears. The later it gets the more likely he is to disappear. I've personally lost around $800 us to David in the past,

the last time was $300 us for various parts. I lived, lost, and learned to never deal with him again the hard way.

  2. does the watch flop around on the perlon? I have mine on a rubber b right now that wears really well, especially diving. just looking at other options. the weight is quite good but I find the bracelet gets too much attention with the polished midlink (I've only worn the bracelet once) I have the 116710ln version, franken. everything fit so far with no modding except hand and dial (a later project).

but those would be incorrect hands to use and you wouldn't have a gmt hand. best is to modify gen hands to fit.

  4. It would be too much work to even try to mill the case properly. not to mention replacing almost all the visible parts would be required. might as well buy a different watch. the sum of all this incorrectness and the desire for a nice 1675 has got a lot of people blinded into jumping at these.

  5.  what Geof3 said ! :)

the dial is terrible even a marker is missing at 50 secs. the datewheel is the wrong color. the dial has the date window already too far to the left than the gen and still the date is too far to the left in the window not to mention that font.. . the proportions are so bad, my guess is the case is off too making this not a candidate to even mod or franken.

  6. the part you are referring to as the bezel is the rehaut. the bezel runs around the crystal on the outside. now if you are referring to the rolexrolex text depending on model, both will have. contact seller to provide qc photos prior to buying to make sure they are lined up. but if you are looking for the overwhelming flaw to this generation of Daytona it would be its thickness. now that being said the difference between the kurvasit model and the one from puretime, because of price is probably the version and movement inside. ideally you'd want a chrono movement and at this point means a 775x based movement. this version will be thicker. there is a slimmer model available, but this does not have any chrono function, significantly less in price, but more correct in general appearance. good luck and welcome to the forum.

  7. congrats. i finally finished my 45.5 po a couple of weeks ago. I used soder to take up the gap on the gen bezel and used the rep spring. it was a pain trimming back the solder with an exacto knife and cutting a groove for the spring but well worth the effort. I went with a used 2892 movement I got off another forum. I got it years ago and put it in this build last year. the only thing I have left is the caseback and maybe a gen bracelet. cheers to going above and beyond and taking this hobby to the highest degree!!!
