  1. I'm glad that this worked out for the OP.

    But I’m just curious:

Mike never got the new correct address from Concepta?

The Zigmeister will not service a Concepta built watch....that's all I need to know... :)

    Concepta don’t build these watches.

He can get gen parts but he doesn’t build them.

Domi used to build Conceptas 3714 until his work started to take to long and people started to complain about his work.

Some time ago Concepta started to work with Mike/texski in the US who has built the latest 3714.

So the correct statement would be that The Zigmeister will not work on a Domi built 3714.

  2. How many versions are there of this watch?? is it already to V3 status or is V2 the latest. I'm enthralled with this watch but know none of its flaws or version distinctions.. Anyone off the top of their head that can give me a brief run-down. All I know is that V1 has round date window.

From the top of my head (without dubble check so I might have missed something.)

There are two makers of the Diver: Channel maker and Noob (AP ROO sec @ 12 maker).

Channel maker was the first with round date window and white date wheel with balck numbers and spelling error on the caseback: V1

They utdated the date color to correct black with white numbers: V2

Then updated the spelling error on the back and added a screwdown crown @10: V3

After that Noob released their Diver that was better in some ways (and worse in some): V4

Now I see another update (from the Channel factory or a new player?)

    V5 or V3 MkII :D

    I think thats all....

  3. Thats my post between the H-maker 111M vs. Noob new 111M

But You want to know the difference between The old Noob 111J and the new Noob 111M?

First: I dont think that the 111J is made any more, maybe You could pick up a used one?

But the main differences Noob 111J vs. Noob 111M are:

Improved crystal with much better AR

Improved lume. The 111J had real crappy lume. The 111M have great lume!

    Platinum plated movement

Changed the printed dial text colour to a more creamy one

Much better lugg screws that are flush on both sides.

111M got a different strap notch.

That al I can think of on top of my head, but I'm sure there is more :)

  4. is the slightly blue AR on the noob a dead giveaway that it is not gen?

    awesome review btw

No, its very subtle and can only be seen very weak in some indoor light.

Its nothing like the blue rep AR we use to see on some old reps.

On the H you can see some colour less hue and on the N there is a slight blue tone.

I will see if I can post some pics tonoght.

  5. Here is the review I did on RG and I might as well put it up here to :)

    ---------------

I know You all seen picture of these two great reps, ToroBravo made a great side by side of them.

But since I have them both I thought that I would compare the details that matter to me (and hopefully You) :)

N = Noob (or AP ROO sec. @ 12 maker).

    H = Hublot maker

    NvsH_001.jpg

    AR:

Both have great AR but I think the H have a little stronger AR.

N have a slight blue hue to it when under a indoor light, the hue on the H is more colourless.

    NvsH_002.jpg

    NvsH_004.jpg

    NvsH_005.jpg

    Number cut-outs:

The N seems to have slightly deeper numbers.

    NvsH_006.jpg

    NvsH_007.jpg

    Dial surface and printing:

The N looks great under the sun! A more matte, slightly grey dial with structure and raised creamy printing.

    NvsH_008.jpg

    NvsH_009.jpg

    Lume:

Both look great uncharged. The H have a little whiter uncharged lume while the N have a hint of grey.

When charged under the sun for one minute both glows like crazy, but it looks like the N fades a little quicker.

    NvsH_010.jpg

    NvsH_011.jpg

    Crown:

N have a thicker crown. Or maybe its not so bevelled.

    NvsH_012.jpg

    Crown guard:

This was my main concern about the Noob. I love the H-factory CG.

But after seeing a few CQ pics of different N 111 I found one that I’m really happy with. Maybe not as good fitting lever/body as the H but it’s a keeper.

I was thinking to change the CG to a H but look at the pin for the rollerball on the Noob lever.

Its almost invisible, and I think that’s just the way the looks like. (Experts correct me if I’m wrong.)

That’s the main reason I’m keeping the Noob CG on.

    NvsH_015.jpg

    NvsH_016.jpg

    NvsH_017.jpg

    Strap notch:

I’m no expert what to look for, but this is what it looks like.

    NvsH_018.jpg

    NvsH_019.jpg

    Movement:

Well, this is like day and night.

Noob, reliable platinum plated, engraved high-beat movement.

Hublot, Crappy old low-beat with stickers (?).

    This is a no brainer..

    NvsH_020.jpg

    NvsH_021.jpg

    Caseback:

The engraving is deeper on the Noob. But I think the serial number have a better finish on the H.

I read somewhere that the Noob have a sapphire CB while the Hublot have a mineral.

    NvsH_022.jpg

    NvsH_023.jpg

    NvsH_024.jpg

    NvsH_025.jpg

    Luggs:

Again, I’m no expert what is more gen-like for a M series. But You can see the difference here.

I forgot to take pics of the lugg screwbars, but they are great on both. Much improved over the 111J from the noob factory. Perfect flush on both sides.

    NvsH_026.jpg

    NvsH_027.jpg

    Seconds pin:

The N have a incorrect white pin on the seconds hand while the H have a correct bare metal.

    NvsH_028.jpg

    NvsH_029.jpg

Closing pictures is a comparison between the old Noob 111J (DLC in these pics) and the new Noob 111M for those who wants to know the difference between the old and new Noob.

    NvsH_031.jpg

    NvsH_032.jpg

    NvsH_033.jpg

    NvsH_034.jpg

    NvsH_035.jpg

    Final word:

I’m keeping the Noob as my 111 and send the H-factory case to Avitt for some project :D

  6. But I thought the crown should also sit flush to the case? Now there is a gap of 2mm to the case.

    Theo

First You cut or file the stem carefully until You have a gap betwen the case and crown You are happy with.

Then You start to file on the lever with a jeweler file and test fit it often until it closes thight on the crown.

You might not need to file the lever after bringing the crown closer to the case.

    Good luck! :)
