I feel your pain... I also bought SS Slevin in a Private sale and got sticthed up with the bracelet being too small...I call uncle. about ready to sell this Slevin if I can't find a link or entire bracelet for it.
Any ideas on a nice, higher end source for a leather strap if I decide to try that? - J
I'm sure Gimmie messaged me on Repgeek offering links, then went cold. Now I know why, he lost 'em. Wish I'd know about Lobsters links a little sooner, being in the UK that would have been super handy.
I do have a spare unusable bracelet, but I'm still living in the hope that I too can locate 2 links... I got so desperate I almost bought a whole new watch!!!
-
If anyone reading this has a spare link (pictured), please PM me as I'm in need!!!
-
congrat guys. this is one of my favourite too.
still waiting for mine from concepta!
Does that mean you are getting a Franken???
-
Reported!!!
Isn't it also a Quartz movement??? Damn I hope nobody gets burned by this...
-
I have a 7inch wrist and I think that it wear quite small imo... I was actually quite surprised at the size when I first put it on, didn't have the presence I expected it to.
-
Yeah I had sone problems exchanging straps, but it was nothing a hammer couldn't deal with!!!
Once you get the pin moving, use the hammer...

I've received Zig's e-mail and pricelist and I've written the e-mail of work i need doing, but for some reason I can't click send yet...
He's away for some time in Nov, so possibly won't be able to fit me in until Dec anyway...
I like the blue tint of AR as well, but the finish on mine seems a little cloudy. I've tried to clean it but I can't seem to get rid...
I was thinking of sending mine to the guy in Germany, forget his name, but he does a lot of work with Domi. I sent Chief an e-mail about AR but he never got back to me...

Does anybody know if the links from an InGenuier SS Bracelet are compatible with the Slevin SS Bracelet??
Thanks in advance...

Lucky you...
Well done, hope it arrives safely...

I've just recently purchase the Aquatimer for another member and I am having issues changing the Day.
I have bought ETA wheels to replace the standard ones, so I'm not too worried at the moment...
I had to by the Day and Date Wheels seperate at a total of around $25, but then of course they need fitting.
Here's to hoping that it will actually fix the issue

You asked who he was.... now you know!!...
but as he has only just started making these, do you not think its worth making the effort to contact him before you give up or start getting sarky !!
I'm not one to get all annoyed about the way people talk behind there computers to people.
But firstly I wasn't even talking to you in the first place, so why all of a sudden your knickers are in a twist I don't know.
Second, the person I was talking to stated that "another member got the gummy croc strap from him and it fit just like the rubber strap". This was who I was reffering to as to who is he and does he have pics. If I wanted to know who Jacob was I would've asked...
I really suggest that you read and digest what people are actually saying, before you jump the gun and start flaming people you don't even know...
I'm not expecting an apology, but think before you type...

Went to jacobstraps.com and only found this strap...
I think everyone wants to see an actual aftermarket Gummy strap
-
I got a couple of Veyron straps....but had trouble installing them due to the size issue.
Jacob is making these straps now....another member got the gummy croc strap from him and it fit just like the rubber strap...no issues. I have ordered one from him as well....takes about 3-4 weeks to make....so should be with me sometime early next month. Will report my findings here.
So who is this member and more importantly does he have pics
-
Hope you enjoy your purchase when it arrives. I'm so happy I've been introduces to IWC, beautiful watches
-
Ok guys, here are the pics of my latest addition... We're gonna spend some quality time together before Zig tells me it's time for him to work his magic...
Hope you enjoy

We want pics! We want pics! *continues chanting*
Mary said 2 days and it's been 4 days, I know this is normal but the wait is killing me and so many questions popping up "What if there is no stock?" "What if the QC pictures are craptacular?" "What if the chicken crossed the road? "
Anyway, that aside, we want pics!
Sorry guys, but I went out after work and didn't grab the watch from my mums until late. I'll snap pics tonight and post...
I'm a little frustrated as I don't have the correct tools to take 1 side of the rubber strap off. I tried the toothpick method and gave up after snapping 3...
Also I can't seem to change the Day Wheel, which I think is a common problem. But I have ETA wheels to replace these so not too bothered...
Promise pics to follow
-
Can you believe my watch has been sitting at my mums all week and nobody even phoned to tell me
-
Let's wait for her QC pics before we get over excited
Has arrived just yet, but I'm thinking any day soon
I'll get sum pics up before it goes to The Zigmeister for some Lume Love...
-
I have just e-mailed Mary if she can a Slevin for me, the reply was 'yes there is, within 2 days' so looks like I might get lucky on this one.
Good look with this bro... I can only remember how I felt when Andrew said that he could get me this watch, only for me dreams to be dashed!!!
What info did you give Mary, as she came straight back to me and told me the factories stopped making these. They did have the Cousteau Divers, with the Rubber strap available. But it's by no means the same watch...
-
Ohhh brother now you're really twisting my melons, the Chief AR really is ridiculous
-
Wooww!!!! Now that is a beaut straight out the box...
I've playing about with idea of a new AR, but I'm thinking that might just be a waste of my money looking at those pics..
-
Wow... They discontinued this thing??
I rarely ever wear mine, but I'm glad I held onto it!
Damn I love seeing pics like this, gets me excited all over again...
Is that stock, no mods because it looks like a beaut!!!
Nanuq - Nemo has been found safe and sound and is on his way home, the poor fella.. It's gonna be one re-union
-
And now you can alternate bracelet and rubber.
I certainly can and will... It's like getting 2 for 1
-
It is sad that they no longer make this rep, it is such a nice rep. If PreciousTime has the rubber version in stock, why not get it first then source the SS bracelet else where later?
PreciousTime also got back to me yesterday after me asking to check for definite if he can get it, guess what the answer was...
No worries as it seems as though I've managed to bag the one that Watchmeister so masterfully found for me.
Also I tried to push Tony from Asian7750 to tell the factories to make another run, after a long period of time he came back and told me that it may happen in around 3-4 months, but no promises...

Hey all,
I'm on the look out for a nice Submariner and have now fallen for the latest edition "Blue Lume" 116610.
I heard there were a few flaws with the 1st 116610 and just wanted your insight into what seems to be the newest version on the block.
I found this one over at PT and it looks like the one. But I'm not sure of the advantages it holds over the cheaper A2836-2/S2836-2. Any insight would be much appreciated...
