Hi thl, You did a great job on the dial and hands. Are you sure that's an original insert? Appears to be a gen lumi to me. The next step would be trimming the crown guards, drilling the lug holes to accept gen spring bars, possibly installing a gen crown, and the addition of a clarks T-39 superdome. Good luck with your project!

Just my opinion, but for a grand, you might as well start searching ebay for a gen. For a few hundred more, you'll more than likely find a nice one. JJ

Observing the recent award, one may consider incredulity at the debasement of the prize. It seems now that words are deeds , that the unceasing torrent coming from Obama is like a magic potion, curing all . But so far nothing has changed and all indications are that things are even worse than before in the Middle East, in Venezuela, Pakistan , Afghanistan. Sooner or later people will be taxed even higher in USA to pay for that grandiose stimulus package which has done not much in real terms. Now GM is selling off its divisions to the Chinese! How mad can they be? And I assume the Obama Gov. approved of this transaction? It is really the problem to live in a world over concerned with information. TV and the press have taken hold of our souls and will not let a normal human dialogue develop. We are at their mercy, awaiting the latest news, the results of this and that International debate (look at the current Bangkok conference on Global Warming to see imbecility itself). In a normal world the Nobel Committee would have never dared to do what they have done, because they would have had to acknowledge facts and actions, not the gossamer words that are being offered in their stead.

Hi Lani, Beautiful trio! I bought mine soon after it first came out, when it caught the rep world by surprise when it was heralded as one of the first "super reps". Super was indeed a great adjective to describe this watch, as it certainly mimicked the gen in almost every detail. From the perfect dial, to the 1000ft waterproof claim, to the double AR, this watch has everything. Luckily, prices have come down, since I remember paying somewhere north of six hundred for mine (does anyone remember the initial price?). As with most in this hobby, my taste have changed, and I have just recently sold my blue Breitling to a lucky buyer. For those who may be interested, I've just posted up for sale my two extra straps, one a brand new and untouched blue leather strap complete with buckle, and the other, a genuine Breitling blue "pro diver" rubber strap that comes along with a genuine buckle. Perhaps my taste will change once more, and I'll end up missing my Breitling. Maybe next time a white dial!

Over here, lots of replies, and in more than one, praise of your obviously rare and (very) expensive piece. It made me think, who are the real enthusiast?
