  1. Post up, or Fozzy and his friends will visit
  2. WM9's have faults just like any other rep, and have been discussed here and on other forums many times. Most members have opted for the modern sub, which takes gen parts. However, movement depth dimension has effect on rehaut and other aspects.
  3. XRT has got the best milgauss I've seen
  4. I love the 6541, can you post up a pic of the latest MBW version?

    Bad day

Wow, that sucks. I'm curious, how did you send it?
  6. They're all nice. Which movements are in each? I'm leaning toward the Airking
  7. Here's some interesting info I found: All shoulderless Rolex Submariners should have black gloss dials and are known as the James Bond due to the sporting of one by Mr. Connery in Goldfinger. It looks like he is wearing the military issue A/6538: Nato strap, fixed bars , large 8mm crown but no minute markers first five minutes on the bezel insert. For me the only true James Bond Rolex Submariner is the new ref. 6538 model.
  8. Freddy, thanks to you and everyone else for your compliments about the watch It's actually a 6538 big crown, although a 5508 brevet is in the works
  9. You are looking at an industrial laser which emits an extraordinary light, not to be found in nature. It can project a spot on the moon - or, at closer range, cut through solid metal. I will show you "Do you expect me to talk?" "NO MR. BOND, I EXPECT YOU TO DIE!!!!".....Auric
  10. Thanks for posting with your comparison to gen. I guess the first thing that jumps out is the thickness of the bezel font. Does it appear that thick in person?
  11. I threw my MBW dial away, was it worth anything? :cc_confused:
  12. The Zigmeister, I totally understand how you must feel. As I posted sometime back, I think anything you work on is exactly this: Pure Art. I also understand totally that an artist puts much more into anything he touches than someone just doing a job. Hang in there, you have some true friends here. Pure Art
  13. End loops that the springbars go through appear to be rep. I have serious doubts about the authenticity of this item
  14. Vlydog, This watch is truly a beauty. The polish looks extraordinarily bright, and I'm being 100% honest in saying I thought it was a gen when I saw it from across the table. Enjoy, and wear in good health! JoJo
  15. I hope I'm not raising an (almost) dead thread, the last post went up in late March. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I've received my WM9, and I'll admit the first thing I thought when comparing it to my MBW was that the rehaut was too short. Although when I checked w.genzo's pics, the watch I recieved has what appears to be an identical rehaut. Other than that, it looks fantastic. I would say that the bracelet is better than the noob, in that the sel's appear machined, and sharp as gen. Fitment of the sel into the case also appears better. I've been lucky enough to source a gen bezel and insert, crown and tube, crystal, and dial, so I'm hoping this project will come out well.
  16. $6150 (so far) for a beat up looking dial
  17. I had a great time meeting everyone. I'll admit I came away inspired after seeing so many gorgeous pieces! Here's one I'll never let go. Anyone wish to guess who made this one?
  18. ...been watching this dial on the 'bay: http://tinyurl.com/6ez7fc
  19. The gf is coming along, so I hope there are other couples. I've got some interesting watches, plus I'll bring along my twin of Stephane's MBW that he recently sold. I'll be selling it soon if anyone would like to check it out. I've got a fully modded 111H I'll enjoy comparing to Jay's gen, and I still can't decide what to wear (lol, I mean watch of course!) It's a toss up between my deco bezel pam and my gen triple 6 rollie. I think I'm leaning toward the aged pam since it will blend perfectly into the atmosphere of an old world cuban place and the drifting scent of cohibas
  20. I'll be there, and I'll bring a few good reps, my deco bezel, a 1665, and a 5512
  21. I bet it fetches an easy $4000 USD
