  1. nice comments :p

in case you were wondering,, I'm not selling these i just found it on cqout and whilst of little interest to rwg, interesting for me due to the cost, as my fathers rep, a nicer one bought from dealers here, has a link fallen out the side of the bracelet and wants me to get him a new bracelet, I thought I couldnt get one without buying another watch, but I thinking this is a way to a new bracelet.

  2. Yes amazing how few nice watches I see on people, at work, in aiports etc. Best I normally see is a swatch irony. But on friday I had a rep in and he had on a omega seamaster, looked to be a gen, but I didnt look too closely as I had on my speedmaster and i didnt want to be outed.

Had to laugh as a colleague at work called in, he had been to china and picked up a tag carrera, for around $25. He said, what do you think, well its wasnt great, but I said it was nice, he said, I know you always have the real ones, but I thought you'd like a look,

I like the fact he thinks mine are real

Puts me off wearing my own carrera now though

  3. Reliability.

I dont really care about the nth degree of perfection I can look at a photo of what i;m buying

    two things bug me,

The fact the watch looks fantastic but the movement stops - why?... spend $5 more on the movement !

The straps they come with you cannot buy unless you get a new watch or spend almost as much - when my rubber tag carrera strap fails, with its TAG printing etc, where will I get another bearing in mind it cost them less than a few dollars to make?

  4. After messaging assasi9 about his GTXL when he received it, I ordered one of those and a B&R at the start of this year, received the B&R today and for the price (about $76 shipped) am pretty happy with it. He posted the Chopard later than this one so hopefully should be here soon.

edit: ooh, my 1st post here, Hi!

Yes I just got a B&R from there too it arrived today, love esp the strap, one slight problem, there is no lume whatsoever on the blue version I got.

Apart from from that looks pretty amazing.

  5. Quite a few of the Moscow Store watches can be found for approx. $85 each at cqout.com, my preferred dealer there is Tonyxkf, I've had about 6 perfect transactions with him.

Yes I've used Tony too, his watches come from Thailand.

Good thing aboutr Moscow is you can buy replicas from shops in the Metro, I picked up a nice Zenith from there which my GF says is her favourite rep of mine.

The shop I went to had no rolexes, but Dunhill, patek, IWC etc. Very nice and less obviously fake all at

  6. Based on Assasi9's positive experience, I took a chance on the 111. Watch took about 10 days to arrive. Communications with ufanta are non existent. Anyway, here is what arrived. I'll let you guys make your own decisions about it and keep mine to myself.

AS someone who knows nothing about Paneri, its looks pretty good to me and for the price looks something I would def wear. I notice the Omega speedmaster has a pretty cacky strap though. As a reference I recently bought a speedmaster for

  7. I just got one yesterday and it lasted one day. actually 6 hours before a pusher fell out. Faced with sending back to china and weeks if waiting I decided to have a go. The pushers are held in by a soft metal circlip in a groove, which fell out, I crimped it a bit pushed it back on and them to seal put a blob of nail varnish over them. More worrying is the fact they despite having an o ring on them are a loose fit in their sockets, so this watch would leak like a sieve I I washed up in it... oh well.. another poor purchase.... never learn

    sorry about the shocking photo's

  8. Ahahahahahahahahahaha :DI bought that watch today as well as a Submariner.

Why would someone who's preference is for Omegas buy a Rolex, you may be asking? Well, that's because I am going to 'kit bash' the two watches into a Submariner with GMT function :thumbsupsmileyanim: Watch this space in a month or so, and I'll post the finished result :)

Hey Teejay.. I thought white watches were more your thing :D

Anyway I've been dabbling on CQout, two subs, GMT, RPO, Omega coaxial, ladies yachtmaster and yes I'm very impressed with watches and service, speed etc.

    look forward to your mods

  9. First rep I bought a few years ago was this 'moonwatch' correct in every way :whistling:

It has a quartz movement and I have to say its been the most reliable rep I've had, all the chronos work etc.

The tachy dial was scratched so I polished it off, hence the odd look.

Weird thing is I really like it, wear it to work most days, looks like an old watch, so apart from the differences, as a look I like it. I also noticed that it looks very similar to a recent TAG watch they brought out, dont know the ref but saw it a magazine.

So for me its the perfect watch, wear it anywhere, 100% reliable, no one else will ever have one and just a bit different, esp with the matt bezel,

Anyone else got a watch they like but shouldnt?

  10. ok thanks for the info, I guess I'm just finding the ,crap shoot thing, My first rep was a very odd moon watch that had a quartz movement and looks bit different, but I love wearing it and its lasted 5 years +.and still going strong, I put a pic on = now what do you think? it used to have tachy dial but I cleaned it off when it got scratched. - Yes you may hate it!!!!!! but as a watch I do like it,!!

My Zenith rep lasted one day before the date wheel stuck, still I got a replacement, which lasted 4 years and still going, my Submariner Asiam going well apart from the crown thread unscrewing after 2 years, fixed with glue!. Now its the fathers Subm which is this topic, hopefully the third one will last a bit better - just its a bit embarassing as he was so pleased when I got him it from Xmas and took it to the golf club to show his friends, they prob wonder why it keeps disappearing. Still he has a couple gen omegas to wear in the meantime.

So it looks like asian movements arent really worth it. Ill try ETA or even quartz one in future

  11. Bought for my Father for Xmas, lasted one week before a crown fault meant the date wouldnt adjust , oh and the back was loose and no o ring etc.

Got a replacement, this lost about 2 mins a day and after a few weeks another crown fault in that the hands move when you are screwing in the crown ! and when its screwed in the hands dont move.

So now after 3 months two faulty watches.... I'm losing my faith in these reps, for

  12. 4 reps, two failures - The first a Zenith, the month dial lasted one day of use before it wouldnt move when button pushed, got a replacement next day, this lasted one year before it happened again ( but as bought from Moscow Metro shop, too far to return!)

Other noobmariner bought for Xmas, the date dial locked up and wouldnt move after one week and I noticed the back was loose, took it off, no o ring or anything - somewhat worrying, a duffer, got a replacement which is ok but gains a minute a day..... :o
