  1. Hi, Thanks for all that. Not sure if this is going to be a keeper but I do like the 104. As for bing picky, I guess I am. Cost I believe is not too bad. What I am more interested in knowing is that how does the gen dial helps in making it more gen-like? The reason I ask is ther is a date window and cyclops so even if I put in a gen dial, would it make it really nice rep?
  2. Hi Would like to ask for opinions on this. Would it be worth it to get a gen 104 dial? Now that there is ultimate version of the 104, I was wondering if replacing it with a gen dial is a good idea? I am assuming there there would still be other mods to be concenred about like maybe the cyclops but is it worht it? Mark
  3. Nice black strap on the first pic bro
  4. No. The normal Ingenieur and aquatimer does not fit. This is a 44mm and the normal aquatimer is 42mm.
  5. They are beautiful! Really very nice especially the 028A! Great Work!
  6. A wonderful and great review! I have been waiting for this as thought I am not a Breitling fan, this is the one Breitling I am really interested in getting. Thanks for the excellent review!
  7. Hi, I have just received the 201/A from Davidsen. that was quick! Ordered on Monday and arrived today! Anyway, some pics: To me, the CG is really not bad. But I willl probably still use the V CG as I still have one more. For the dial, I am no expert but the lettering seems very thin ( is that true for pre-v models?) One thing I really do not like is the the so-ccalled filling in the numbers. Its kind of glossy (wax-like). Again, is that supposed to be like for a gen 201/A? I am looking forward o receiving my FGD dial. Please advise on the how the lume and colouring is like on a gen 201/A dial? @Rolli< Sorry I am not sure if this is the best DSN CG. never bought from him before. This is the second (first was for a friend). He mentioned this is the updated CG. As to hoe good it is, I leave to a Pam experts to decide. Currently I do not have any standard rep case to try the DSN CG on. I assume it should as he has already stated he is using standard rep cases
  8. Hi Bro, That is good news! I don't recall having that issue with my previous 5001. But anyways, you managed to get a replacement that is the most important thing. You will have to take some nice pics of the beautiful watch to show us! or better yet, show us in person! Mark
  9. Hi Bro, Really feel for you. This is terrible! However, I am afraid that this is going to take a while to fix. I doubt Richemond will do anything other than send it back for servicing or fixing it. Its strange as this just happend to my friend who bought a Pam 88 a couple of months back and the small hand on the sub-dial at nine just fell off the very next day! I went with him and we made a lot of noise but to no avail! Their only solution was to send it back for repairs! You mind if I ask where you bought it from? Mark
  10. OK. Now I understand. However, I haven't ordered the watch yet so really wouldn't know. As it is, I am probably installing the V CG on it once/if I order it. Thanks
  11. Well not just the bracelet, the whole watch with bracelet. there is a thread on this : http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=86945 To me the caseback is also good as it is right for my Ice Bang. Do you guys think that the Tuiga will look good on this bracelet?
  12. Hi Rolli, Davidsen told me this is his new CG. So maybe he made it to fit standard rep case? As for your second point, you lost me there bro. However, I will be getting this watch soon and once I do will take some pics and post them.
  13. I frgot. You guys probably already know this but for those who do not (like me). The CG jas a little upgrade. DSn has added a rubber thing to the lever so that it is not floppy. See pics : I suppose this is a innovative idea from him. Should be a good idea in terms of practicality though it sure does not look like the gen at all? I suppose this wont be seen so its not an issue. Still a nice CG.
  14. Thanks Babola, Would try to source for one but would be difficult. I guess I will stick to this one first.
  15. Hi Rolli, Sorry if this rubbed you in the wrong way. To me, its a simple thread of asking for advice from esteemd members (such as yourself) if this particualr variant of the 201A is good or not. To me, that is the question, good or no good. I still consider myself a novice andn though I know that a FGD dial, T Crown would make it better, I beleive I have stated my opinion that the V CG might not be needed as this looks good too. However, I just needed to check if I am right or not, I have also asked specific question like the caseback's accuracy. I am not looking for applause as I never claimed this to be mine. It was a specific question asking for advise on whether this version is good or not. As for parts for a final version, I dont know about that. Final version? the thing about RWG is that there is no final version. At least that's how I see it. There will always be members coming up with innovative ways to make the reps even better, people like V, FGD. I am sure that more will come. That is the whole fun right?
  16. Hi guys, Sorry my bad. Should have mentioned that this is a DSN watch. I have been in contact with him recently in ordering a watch for a fellow member from RG as he does not have moneybookers acc. So far, he has been quite nice and communications have been excellent! I am no expert on whether this case is right or not. To me this looks good and the CG seems acceptable. I do have a V CG but hoping that might not need to use it. I ask DSN and he claims he is now using standard rep cases. To me that is also good news so that changing parts like crown would not be an issue right? I have a FGD dial coming in and already have the T48 crowns, so that should make it look good. As for the case, is this one acceptable Babola? I have been reading about the correct case for a 201A and it seems really hard to find. This looks really nice to me and my other concern is the caseback, if it is accurate? I was told about Eddie Lee casebacks but again, I presume that is going to be hard to get unless someone has one and is willing to sell? Thanks for all the feedback!
  17. Hi, I have read your wonderful posts on your wonderful 201/A. Very nice pics. I was just thinking of asking for some opinions on this particular one if its any good?
  18. Hi Can anyone tell me their opinion on this 201A? I am thinking maybe installing a FGD dial and a T48 crown. I think the CG looks ok, does it need a V CG? Is the caseback the right one? Thanks!
  19. Thanks for showing that! I do like the Tuiga, its nice! Wit the closed caseback, do not have to worry about the movement. am seriously thinking of getting it and get the new bracelet from King o it.
  20. Hey, I agree with you! As long as King can veirfy tha there is a logo on the buckle part, I will buy. However, I am really terrible in spotting all these minute details so am hoping Bert can enlighten me more.
  21. Hi, Sorry saw that. Please put up with my ignorance but besides the logo which is to be confirmed by King, really do not understand what you mean? Gen uses different end links? I am assuming end links are the parts at the end or begining of bracelet?
  22. Hey Bert, How is it wrong. I aksed King and accordingly there will be a logo on the buckle side, which I think should be right. Can you highlight a bit more on the difference in endlinks? Thanks, would really be great to know as I intend to buy one. Thanks
  23. Completely agreed. BTW, I am very interested in the HBB Tuiga in stainless steel you have. where did you get it from? also how is the CF dial, one of the things I have compared between gen and rep is the CF dial and I found the rep CF dial not as sharp. Can you comment on yours? Now I have the Ice bang, would like one with closed caseback. Thanks
