Down.
Guess another domain change on the way...
Andrew @ www.yourtrustytime.com is also down, they use the same domain servers as Josh?
-
In the QC pics the movement from the watch I ordered seems to not have the pearl pattern, but it finally arrived and I can confirm that it has.
So I guess all sellita movements have this type of swirl effect and that's just the angle or the light used in the photos that fools the eye.
-
It finally arrived, it took longer than I expected (3 weeks from England and a total of 4 weeks from China).
So sometimes we just have to be patient ....
-
plaifender.... uhmmmm NO! LOL!
Ruma, it's from an ebay US seller. Not GEN. The GEN is rubber, this is leather. Costs $57.50 Here > http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110627148168&var=410016151599&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_6168wt_905
It looks very well with that bracelet.
Thank you

Where did u get the bracelet. It's a genuine omega strap?

As I was deciding what watch to get the wife for christmas, I contemplated getting her a rep J12. However, giving a loved one a rep just didn't sit right with me. I ended up buying her this...
Its a genuine swiss quartz, complete ceramic, and has a warranty. Needless to say she just loves it and has got more compliments than I ever had on any of my watches. Best of all, she doesn't have to worry about the stigma of wearing a rep. Girls are more self conscious about such things.
It's just me or this is practically the same watch as the channel piece
-
I'm still waiting for mine ...
-
What is the sellita movement? Is it cheaper and equally reliable?
It's a swiss company that makes an automatic movement similar to ETA. It's equally reliable but in this specific case it's not cheaper because it's a newer rep version and so it's more expensive.
-
It's not very beautiful, it's AWESOME, even more than the non-chrono black version of the 500M.
We can only hope for a super rep of this one
-
In the sellita website the movement has the swirl effect:
But I've seen also a variation of his movement (gold plated without swirl) in the Invicta ProDiver 4469:
-
From the movements I've seen the original sw200 has always "pearl pattern finish" so I just hope that the dealers are not charging us a premium "swiss" movement price and selling a sellita asian clone
If that's the case there should be a price difference just as the swiss vs asian eta. But i'm waiting for a more expert opinion on these cos if we ask the dealers they will probably tell us what the factories told them "they are all swiss".
-
This is how the gen came out, with a pearl finish on the plates of the movement!!
So at first the rep came out with two versions: Asian with the pearl finish and the ETA 2824 without.
Then the last months came out with the sw-200 movement (like the gen).
From what I was reading all these months, the sw200 for the rep came out at first without
the pearls and then, the latest pieces with the right finish!
Maybe I'm wrong...
The difference can be seen in pictures? Can u post a picture with and without pearl finish?
-
Noob questions:
What is the "pearl pattern finish"?
If this is supposed to be a true swiss sw200 movement shouldn't all movements be the same?
-
He should use the same tracking number.. you don't get 2 tracking numbers. The only thing that should change is the site that he uses to track.
Nop, 2 tracking numbers. China -> UK ( 1st tracking number). Someone from Josh's staff receives the item and then despatchs by Royalmail to the EU country of the member (2nd tracking number).
That's the all point of avoiding customs delays in problematic EU countries, if it was not routed by the UK it would simply be China -> EU country (1 tracking number).
-
No it's not normal to get a new tracking number. Once the watch has arrived in German custom, tracking information will be unavailable on the royal post website, you will then have to input the tracking number into the german post website and it should work.
At least that's how it usually works here in spain when I get something shipped. I track on EMS, until it arrives in spain... then once it arrives in spain, i can track on spanish post
Josh sent the item to UK and gave the tracking number of EMS. From UK to Germany he has no tracking number so he can't check the Royal Mail Website.
@Whatever123: I think you will not get a second tracking number, You'll just have to wait and it will likely arrive safely by signed airmail, but u can alway ask Josh
-
He now sends that warning to everybody. As stated though I partially understand the dealer's side I can not agree with that.
If so many people buys from Josh is also because of the forums. He can not have the benefits and then ask to not discuss the pieces in this same forums that so many customers brought to him.

The cronograph version is also very beatiful:
-
awesome looking watch! is there a genuine version of this? looks like quality!
The question is in reverse, will it ever be a super rep of this nice looking Tag Aquaracer
-
Most of the members do not like quartz watches.
I do not share this opinion, there are excelent quartz driven pieces and there's no hassle with time ajdusting when not wearing them.
I would like to see good quality reps of this type of watches.
Nice choice by the way. That Tag looks really nice
-
looks very good, maybe i will try this watch also one day, looks cool
how much did you paid for this with the new selitta??
I think is only available at 2 of the trusted dealers: TrustyTime and Perfect Clones
I am curious about the date alignment. It looks like it sits low in the window to me.
Marty
Well, I can't see it clearly from the pics. Doesn't the weel date rotates slighty with the time?
Is it with the pearl pattern on the plates?
These are my QC pics from the SW-200 version!!
I think is the same version as yours. Mine is rubber strap and yours steel strap version.
-
I couldn't resist and ordered one of this, Tag Aquaracer with the new SW200 Sellita movement, what do you think?
Here's my contribution:
-
To me, from the pic's it seems to be the sellita movement but i will let a more expert eye confirm my opinion.
-
I bought that watch back in 2006 and wrote a small review of it:
I never found a match for the brushed bezel, either. But does it really matter? I mean, who would ever know?
Yes, that's true, I ordered this watch and I'm just curious.
By the way nice review of the similar tag

Hi, I've stumbled on this forum when browsing for info on watches and I'm glad to have joined this community.
I've learned a bit about movements and watches in general (not just reps) and with the valuable info of this forum we can avoid those bloody scammers.
Cheers
