  1. As I was deciding what watch to get the wife for christmas, I contemplated getting her a rep J12. However, giving a loved one a rep just didn't sit right with me. I ended up buying her this...

Its a genuine swiss quartz, complete ceramic, and has a warranty. Needless to say she just loves it and has got more compliments than I ever had on any of my watches. Best of all, she doesn't have to worry about the stigma of wearing a rep. Girls are more self conscious about such things.

It's just me or this is practically the same watch as the channel piece

  2. From the movements I've seen the original sw200 has always "pearl pattern finish" so I just hope that the dealers are not charging us a premium "swiss" movement price and selling a sellita asian clone

If that's the case there should be a price difference just as the swiss vs asian eta. But i'm waiting for a more expert opinion on these cos if we ask the dealers they will probably tell us what the factories told them "they are all swiss". <_<

  3. This is how the gen came out, with a pearl finish on the plates of the movement!!

So at first the rep came out with two versions: Asian with the pearl finish and the ETA 2824 without.

Then the last months came out with the sw-200 movement (like the gen).

From what I was reading all these months, the sw200 for the rep came out at first without

the pearls and then, the latest pieces with the right finish!

    Maybe I'm wrong...

The difference can be seen in pictures? Can u post a picture with and without pearl finish?

  4. He should use the same tracking number.. you don't get 2 tracking numbers. The only thing that should change is the site that he uses to track.

Nop, 2 tracking numbers. China -> UK ( 1st tracking number). Someone from Josh's staff receives the item and then despatchs by Royalmail to the EU country of the member (2nd tracking number).

That's the all point of avoiding customs delays in problematic EU countries, if it was not routed by the UK it would simply be China -> EU country (1 tracking number).

  5. No it's not normal to get a new tracking number. Once the watch has arrived in German custom, tracking information will be unavailable on the royal post website, you will then have to input the tracking number into the german post website and it should work.

At least that's how it usually works here in spain when I get something shipped. I track on EMS, until it arrives in spain... then once it arrives in spain, i can track on spanish post :)

Josh sent the item to UK and gave the tracking number of EMS. From UK to Germany he has no tracking number so he can't check the Royal Mail Website.

@Whatever123: I think you will not get a second tracking number, You'll just have to wait and it will likely arrive safely by signed airmail, but u can alway ask Josh :victory:

  6. He now sends that warning to everybody. As stated though I partially understand the dealer's side I can not agree with that.

If so many people buys from Josh is also because of the forums. He can not have the benefits and then ask to not discuss the pieces in this same forums that so many customers brought to him.

  7. looks very good, maybe i will try this watch also one day, looks cool

how much did you paid for this with the new selitta??

I think is only available at 2 of the trusted dealers: TrustyTime and Perfect Clones

I am curious about the date alignment. It looks like it sits low in the window to me.

    Marty

Well, I can't see it clearly from the pics. Doesn't the weel date rotates slighty with the time?

Is it with the pearl pattern on the plates?

These are my QC pics from the SW-200 version!!

I think is the same version as yours. Mine is rubber strap and yours steel strap version.

  8. Hi, I've stumbled on this forum when browsing for info on watches and I'm glad to have joined this community.

I've learned a bit about movements and watches in general (not just reps) and with the valuable info of this forum we can avoid those bloody scammers.

    Cheers :drinks:
