  1. Hello Mates.

I bought T4D's PAM 129, but Robert sent a very small strap with it, so I ordered a Bradystrap sailcloth patern to put in my watch.

The people from Brady are very responsive and easy to deal, and I didn't payed tax.

The straps are very well made, and comfortable to wear.

I also bought a strap to my own compresor, and here are the pics.

  2. Hi LHOOQ,

I'm a big fan of explorer I, I have 3, one from Hont, one bought here locally, and one from Timesshop.

I`d like to make a vintage one, and I'm planning to use your project as a start.

Very nince post, and very nice watch.

    Congrats.

  3. Thank you very much Doc.

I've made the same question to George and he answered me this:

"Oh yes! That's a very common issue even on genuine Rolex Subs.

    Here's the quick fix:

You can bend the diver's extension inward (toward the clasp) a little

bit, and that will solve the problem for good."

I'll try to bend the extension tonight.

    Thanks a lot,

    Max

  4. I think I've got the diver's extension problem worked out. It snaps in nice and tight now and doesn't pop out on it's own.

With that bicycle chain lube and keeping it washed, the steel has a beautiful sheen to it.

    Allergy Doc,

I have exactly the same watch, mine is wonderfull, I lube the band and smooth the edges but I`m having the same issue with the dive extension, and ask, how you fixed it?

    Thanks,

    Max

  5. Nice rep, and nice review, congrats and thanks.

I have a history about those wonderfull machines.

In the 60`s my father had a disease and had to take some pills each 4 hours, so he bought a Vulcain Cricket.

When I was 15 years old I found his watch and he gave it to me.

It is a very good watch, works very well, and I love it.

5 years ago, I bought 2 used and broken poljot, with alarm too, and made one working well, they are very nice watches.

Those mechanical alarm watches are awesome.

    That`s it.

  6. Hello Pam027,

I saw his photobucket site and the page at RWI, I'm completely in love with those FF, especially the 07.

I compared the DSN watches and the gen, at this site below, and the DSN's one are pretty awesome.

One thing I notice is that those vintage watches have a lot of differences between them, even the same model, I think it is because of the natural aging process that act in a different way in them (am I crazy?).

Anyway, they are wonderful watches, and I'm almost pulling the trigger.
