Great build, and it might just be the angle but it looks like the dial is tilted to the right a bit?

No unfortunately because this is a mbk I do not have a gen dial. He machined a mbk ones for me to accommodate a gen dial. But not this one.

So you are just very disappointed, I get it. Don't get the reference though, please elaborate. Who's who in this story?
I do agree that if you spend 400 usd you should do your homework. I did, three times, ended up with RA every time.

Like I said, aside from trimming the CGs from the inside, the MBW 1680 looks exactly like this, straight from the shop in Thailand. I'm not saying the watch looks bad, I'm saying that there is no justification to charge 400$ for (mostly) invisible "mods".
For 400$ I'd expect the case to show that the watch had some history (even if it looks well taken care of) and not like someone left it in a drawer for 30 years.
I wanted it this way, he could have made it look older. I love the nos look. But not here to defend the man, I just like his work and I love the fact that he stands by his product. Sent my watches back and forth couple of times, never had to pay extra. You also get a relume and Yuki pearl. Relume goes for 120 usd with almost every modder on these forums. So 200 or so for case work, insert aging, pearl not too bad.
Consider this, we pay 400 usd for essentially a watch that needs another 200 usd at least to make it look OK. It has the worst pearl, no bracelet and high beat movement. But that's the hobby right?
The package is 330 usd BTW not 400. And he repaired the movement as well at no extra cost.

Be warned that RA does poor work and charges a lot of money for that. I made the mistake to blindly trust a few reviews. Can't recommend his work at all.
Curious what you mean here. I had 3 watches handled by RA and, although not cheap, he did great work and has great after care. I have sent a watch back because I wanted the hands to be just a little bit more aged. He did it for free.
He repaired the movement of my latest mbw, didn't charge anything.
And most important of all, look at it

Sorry. I managed to miss the MBW bit, probably skipping to the pictures too fast.
Yes pictures are more important

Very nice job! He did great work on the CGs. If anything you could bleach the insert for only about 5 minutes just to take some off the shine off but not enough to change the color. I am doing very similar mods to mine so excited to see the result.
What's the best way to do this?

which watch did you start with please?
As per title, an mbw sold here by Rolexfinder.

I don't think you should age the insert either. If you look at a lot of vintage rollies in a collectors shop you'll see that the old bezels are more often than not in remarkably good, that is to say, dark black condition.
Lovely piece wear it well.
True but maybe just a scuff here and there.
Forgot it also Has polexpete silver dwo

Modding was done by rolexaddict.
Usual case work, cg's and recessing the insert.
Yuki pearl, Clark 127 and I went with yuki bracelet. It's marked 93250 but is hollow, combined with wso 580 endlinks.
Also thinking about tc hands.

Because I found the amazing sales thread by Rolex finder here on rwg I think it's only fitting that I share my modded 1680 here first as well.
What do you guys think? I think I might age the insert a bit more...

Received mine as well. No bracelet yet. Can't seem to set the time, because the crown doesn't pull out enough. Any advice?

Jack,
Great read thanks for that. In your build you used the standard bracelet?
Would the yuki bracelet be an upgrade?

So I payed for a classic 1680 white. Anyone knows how good the crystals are on these mbw 1680's? Is a Clark 125 an upgrade for this or go gen?
