  1. I've got a Breitling Bentley GT that I took to a local jeweller to get repaired. He broke a pinion gear on the movement taking off a hand. Who can I trust to send my watch to so it can get repaired? I would much prefer a Canadian so I'm not dealing with Customs/Border issues. The movement may have to get replaced. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  2. It looks as if the day wheel has popped off the movement.

There is nothing but the dial holding the day wheel in place, if there is too much of a gap between the wheel and the dial then the day wheel can pop off...

The only fix would be to remove the dial and fix the day wheel.

    OK..thanks The Zigmeister!

  3. It's been a while since I've posted. I bought a Breitling Bentley GT from Eddie Lee about a year ago and I love it..I have worn it almost every day and get countless compliments on it. 2 days ago however, the day is out of line and the crown will not advance it. The crown will advance the date, just not the day. The only way to advance it is by winding the hands around until the day/date changes. The date is level but the day is not. Is there a way to fix this?

  4. I just got a gold daytona from andrew and also purchased a black leather band to go with it. He sent me a pin removal tool. I have tried to get this damn thing out but I can't. It's hard to see it well and even if I can compress it somewhat, it doesn't seem to want to come loose. Any suggestions?

  5. Nice collection. I'm particularly fond of your old Tag professional diver....massive heavy case on that guy.

I have the Heuer ca 1979 and the Tritium is still active as hell. The hour markers & hands turn green when exposed to any natutal light and yellow indoors. It's the only cameleon watch I own.

Hang around for a while and you'll need a few more watch boxes. :D

That TAG is awesome. I bought it b/c it was the Heuer part of TAG/Heuer..I used to swim competetively with Heuer stopwatches and assumed it'd be a good timepiece. I have had it to below 100 feet in the Carribean. It definitely has seen the most writst time.

The ESQ I bought about 5 years ago when I didn't have a lot of extra disposable $$. (With 2 small kids..still don't!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  6. hello,

I am still in the process of trying to learn all the ups and downs about the different dealers. (My 1st lesson learned from reading "choose the dealer 1st, then the watch). I see that the silix section of dealers, there are 2 sites listed: silixprime and watchsilix. The watchsilix site quotes in euros whereas the other in USD. I'm assuming it's run by the same folks. Is the selection the same at both..the sites are very slow to load. My next purchase will be for the wife's b-day so I've got some time to poke around.

  7. Hello, I know there has been some negative stuff written about paul and damn near nothing negative about andrew. i am looking at a gold daytona with a black face that only paul had before but now andrew is just carrying too. to complicate it somewhat, i want an additional black leather strap to give the watch some versatility. both dealers can supply that too. the price difference works out to be $110. in paul's favour. good god that's a big difference. to be honest, i am somewhat scared to deal with paul with what i have read, but the price is sooo enticing. your opinions please :whistling:

  8. Its an automatic - no need to wind it. Just give it a gentle shake to get it started - then wear it.

I have a couple of autos that have power reserve indicators. I find that wearing them for an hour is enough to get them fully wound.

If you must wind, then turn the crown gently, slowly, clockwise.

The chrono probably won't work properly until the watch is fully wound. The lower button should return the chrono to zero.

    Perfect..Thanks! :3a:

  9. i just got my 1st rep, a brietling bently from eddie lee and i love it!! bloody thing's big though! anyway, e.l. sent some instructions about setting it, which i did no problem. my questions are these: 1) to wind the watch, pull out the crown 1 notch and then- which way do i wind it: clockwise or couterclockwise? it seems that it is tougher to wind it clockwise but it kind of ratchets ccwise? pls clarify this for me. 2) how do i return the sweeping hand back to 12 o'clock. there are 2 buttons on the side. the top starts and stops it. the 2nd does squat. what gives?

    thanks!! :D

  10. A newfie young man gets a job as a pathologist's assistant. The pathologist tells him to disrobe the bodies and prepare the toe tag for the autopsy and just yell if he has any problems. A week goes by and the newfie's doing great; then one day he yells bloody murder and the pathologist comes running in. He sees a gorgeous blonde lady laying naked on the table. "What's the problem" he asks. "There's a shrimp in her pussy" the newfie replies. The doctor looks and laughs and says "that's not a shrimp, that's her clitoris". The newfie replies "well it sure tastes like one!!"

  11. i looked all through the site and I didn't see the "weblinks" submenu off the main menu or I wouldn't have asked; I don't want to waste anybody's time.

On another issue, I can't decide between a gold rollie or a ss briet either from joshua (more$) or eddie. eddie has suggested the briet; is there any bad experiences with the gold wearing off? it's the daytona that i'm looking at and i absolutely love it. i wish i could buy both but don't have the $. any suggestions?

  12. Hello..I have been reading the dealer reviews and the dealers' own listings, but other than a few like wo-mart, I can't find the websites for the individual dealers. i wanted to see eddie lee's site, but i got a photobucket page with pics and no prices. it's frustrating being a noob. thanks for any help.
