  1. This is my second attempt in writing a review and although I know there are already a dozen reviews about this watch, I wanted to do one by myself. Under the designation
  2. WOW, that is definately one of the holy grails! May I ask if that is one of the "out of stock" Silix cases?
  3. Where do I get a Jimmyzfu-case? I read somewhere that they are the best. (1:1) Never found any on the bay... EDIT: Never mind - google helps... Thanks.
  4. Truly one of the best reviews I've read so far. Congrats!
  5. C'mon! My gf would say something like: "Aahw... Small watches are soooo yesterday!"
  6. Maybe you guys should get the gen diverstrap?
  7. pheeew... this is getting somewhat philosophical. option two for me. I break everything...
  8. I am pretty sure they won't rep the Sinn U1/U2 in near future. They're just not able to treat the extrem hard submarine-steel. Would not be cost propotional anyway for a $1000 watch either.
  9. Yes I am a lucky guy! And I bought her a nice Explorer1 and a Lady-yachtmaster BTW, pulling the trigger was only metaphorically spoken (It had to go QUICK!)! Since I quit with the armed forces, I am happy to say that I never touched a gun again. Cheers!
  10. Great one Pug, as always. I have mine on the way and this is even increasing my wish to get it on my wrist! Congrats!
  11. I just purchased a blue faced Breitling Superocean Steelfish from a friend on RWI. The same day just a couple of hours before my gf and I have been to the AD me trying it on, and she mentioned of how cool it looked on a diverstrap. So I was preety happy when she later gave me "green light" to pull the trigger. But this not enough - the very next day she suprised me with a genuine blue diverstrap! I couldn't resist but put it on my BCE, just to get a feeling for it. Here are some pictures, I think it looks way more sporty, don'tcha think? It'll stay on it 'till my Steelfish arrives... Cheers!
  12. Didn't come off my wrist since it arrived...
  13. Cool, thx for that link! By the way - anybody received it yet?
  14. that's not good. hope it does not start like the hbb on this one... glad that mine does not have these problems...
  15. Thank you guys for your nice feedback, this is encouraging! Glad you liked it. @jk: I removed all possible links from the bracelet and adjusted the clasp to the smallest pinhole. @delta: I didn't do that, I was afraid to mess up the screws.
  16. Reading Bytor’s and other member’s reviews, I always wanted to do something like that, but never took the chance. This is my first attempt, so please be kind. I ordered the watch from Angus (PURETIME) and received it exactly 7 days after that. To be frank, it just looks amazing. I tried my best to shoot good pics of it, but as hard as I try – these crappy pictures don’t do it any justice. It was well wrapped into a thick package of rubber foam and came with an additional black leather strap. I like the steel bracelet – attached to this watch it makes a real heavy combo: round 0.24kg (0.53pounds). The bracelet is solid, very good finish and made one to one to the real deal (as far as I know). It took me quite a while until I had it down to my size, for you have to take it fully into pieces like the gen. Nice clasp, by the way. But I just love that leather strap. It feels so perfect, that – even though it’s a 43.7mm watch – it’s a nice fit also on a small wrist (mine are about 6.5). I chose the asian version, as I thought that even if it should fail, I could swap the movement to a swiss ETA 7750 in no time. But since it arrived, it lost 2-4 secs a day, even with the chronofunction on. I am a lucky guy!!! As I can’t compare it to the real one it took me some time to have it next to pictures of the gen. I could spot some vanities, such as the datefont which should be a bit thicker, the pearl is slightly of, too. Gen: Rep: Note, that the small coat under the index is in brighter white than on the replica. The lume is nice, but I assume does not come close to the gen (please correct me on that). Nonetheless, the dial is extremely well made, with love to the detail and even the circle-relief is stunning. You can’t see it on my crappy pics, but believe me – it’s there. The bezel is milled – not stamped, like on some cheaper copys. By the way, the pushers are screwed in. Just like the real one. Caseback. It’s polished and looks just like it should: The engraving is deep and clean. My favourite part about this watch is truly the AR. I’ve never owned something like this before. The coating is on the inside as well as on the outside, and believe me – it’s not just some blueish color. From certain angles, you think you could “touch” the hands and dial. The blue reflections the AR-coating gives to the sapphire seem to spend this watch its own soul, I can’t take my eyes of it… Here I took some shots next to my Omega SMP Chrono: And here it is next to my very first rep (a gift from a good friend of mine): I really hope you enjoyed my little post. I know you all are already tired by all the eyecandy coming up of the EVO Ultimate, but I still hope you had at least half the fun reading it gave me writing it. Thanks Angus, for this fine watch, if someone would've told me this possible one year ago, I would've simply laughed at him. I am still impressed. Cheers, Ben.
