  1. Personally the movement isnt as important in terms of looks as the watch on your wrist...if thats what you are considering

If you did show someone the back of it.... and they know enough to spot a fake movement then it dont matter which you have...

The dial to me is more important and especially the lume :)

So I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you prefer "H" version? :) In the comparisons I saw for the 111s the noob seemed to be closer to the gen but I could have misinterpreted. I should probably spend some more time looking at dials and then decide. For me, the case + CG finishing would be most important to me.

  2. I had the same dilemma and went with the better movement. I've got both H and N versions of base or marina watches and the noobs just feel better. Comes down to personal opinion though in the end and both factories are churning out amazing watches so you won't lose out either way. Before you pull the trigger on a non "seconds at 9" base, it might be worth reading this though.

Thanks for the feedback and link I will check it out.

  3. I've been obsessing quite a bit on the pieces from H and Noob factory after putting the kabosh on a gen purchase. There's been a bunch of comparisons on the 111s but not as much on the 112. I understand that the Panerai "A" is incorrect on the Noob dial but the movement seems to be better. Are there any clear winners in your opinon? (I'm losing sleep over this) Any 112 pics would be appreciated.

  4. It does look cool, I wonder if a carbon AP is far away? :)

I'm take a wild guess that this carbon is wrapped around a steel case, I doubt it's molded carbon. The AP Alinghi uses forged carbon, and entirely different process that rep makers won't spend the time or $$$$$ to duplicate. It has a different look to it as well.

  5. The missing index marker at the 12 o'clock on the MBW was a deal breaker for me....Nahpiek needs to get that part fixed....i could live with the secs at 9 and maybe the dial spacing but in the end I went with the Cartel version...easily had on the 3rd floor in MBK....

And the Nylon/Kevlar EOD strap from Luca is a must!

and thanks for the write up!

    cheers

Great post. Is there a way to add the missing marker? I bought the MBW when it first came out and am in the same boat as you.

  6. still anyone that even now the name "all black" will see its rep, but yeah if thats no problem then buy it i agree their.

    I

Also On Mark's site they are listed as "black Magic" not all black. There is confusion on his part. Nonetheless, I can recommend the watch and Mark as a vendor.

  7. none of the examples shown are an "ALL BLACK" they have very dark gray metallic numbers. That said, I have the first one listed and it looks like a million bucks in person, just one of the many offshoots that hublot creates. If you can get over the fact that it is not an exact copy of a particular model you will be very happy. I'm telling you, the watch looks AMAZING in person.
