  1. It's a tough one, because I will forever be on that hunt for the watch that will change my life. When I buy a watch, I am normally satisfied for that first day. Then the hunt for the next watch begins. When does it end.. lol..

But at an attempt to answer your question. The SMP 300 bond. It has gotten more wrist time then all others. Close second was the PAM 111h that I now regret selling .

  2. Some possible info for you here on "swiss made" watches

    http://www.fhs.ch/en/swissm.php

    A paragraph from the site

"This law is based on a concept according to which Swiss quality depends on the amount of work actually carried out on a watch in Switzerland, even if some foreign components are used in it. It therefore requires that the assembly work on the movement (the motor of the watch) and on the watch itself (fitting the movement with the dial, hands and the various parts of the case) should be carried out in Switzerland, along with the final testing of the movement. It also requires that at least 50% of the components of the movement should be manufactured in Switzerland"

  3. ONLY IN AMERICA:

Only in America.....do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

Always thought that was strange. But he do have the Fat person go-carts for them to ride in.

  4. I do think Davidsen will get the dials correct!

    He always has performed! :)

I am waiting also for new improved dials...

I just read on the Darkside that a few people have offered their services to get it more accurate. It's almost a greedy/guilty feeling on how accurate these reps are becoming. But then again, some of the gens are sold at rip off prices.

  5. *UPDATE* Well the listing is still alive now upto £350

Despite ebay being notified and bidders warned off, ebay still does not see fit to remove this, so much for their [censored] Vero program

Anyone have any disposable bidding accounts with zero f/b for just such an occasion? I think at this stage only some spoof bidding will stop this scammer

I wanted to warn some of the bidders. but, they only show as bid#'s. Is this a private auction? It's sad someone might have to pay$700 or more for that thing. I know the saying " a fool and his money are soon departed" But I still feel obligated to warn someone. The bottom line is I hate scammers.

  6. Yes, it is a genuine IWC strap and buckle.

I wanted to get one for quite some time but when I visited my IWC AD they quoted me around $650 (!!) for the strap and buckle combo.

    Decided it was too much.

But the other day I was brwsing TZ sales corner and found an ad with an Ingenieur for sale - as a bonus there was a new Kevlar strap added.

I emailed the seller and asked if he would like to part with the strap and buckle alone and we made a deal.

Got it pretty cheap so I am more than happy!

    Cheers!

Now this kinda depressed me a bit. Hope I can source a good deal for one as well.
