One Other Problem that I have is the Case back , does anybody know what size Threading is used meaning which Tool will make the Threading correct or Any Threading Design that can be used as this surely can not be molded

Orion Sounds Correct what you are Suggesting will try it first with Aluminum

I think that best result will be achieved by your suggestion make a mold keep enough on the Mold for Machine finishing and Final Hand Polishing

He made one for me in the past. You might wait some time but it worth the effort. He can make you all gen, but the case and glass which is quite identical but the TG engraving: dial, hands, datewheel, movement all gen..If you need perfection, he is your man.

Once I get the 3717, The Next Order will be a Top Gun from Concepta

Do you think that I could cast a Mold of the Approximate design and then Route the angles on a Lathe ? or that is not such a good Idea?

In my experience the 3d scans are not that smooth and there's lots of work needed cad wise to make it work.

Thanks as I have been informed by the guy who will do the 3D scanning our problem though is as we want to make a wax mold we are not sure should we make it bigger or smaller so that the result will be 1:1

I am going to scan a WM9 16610 V3 , I wanted pictures of a 3717 to see how the case is constructed in order to see the difficulty of the design.

My Cad Skills are Null, But I have a company that I have spoken to that will do all the Scanning and molding, its then up to me to Find someone that will do the Laser Marking and etching or Routing of the Brand name.

Of which I have already found a guy that can do it for me

I would like to know if any one has any pictures of a IWC 3717 case(with out the Parts) I want to see if I can maybe make a copy of it in Solid 18K rose Gold,I plan to 3D scan and then Cast a mold and all excess parts shaved off by a CNC router final finish by my trusted jeweler and Fitted with Concepta Original Parts

I already have another project in Process making a Rolex 16610 Solid Gold case
