  1. Ditto. That leaves 73 left for the rest of the world. Maybe less since I think I saw some more messages with this one. /Tim
  2. Does anyone know where I can find a set of maxi-hands for the LV Submariner? I bought an earlier version of the rep and the hands were wrong on the watch. The LV rep has the right hands on the current ones and if I can find I set I'd like to put them on my older version. Overall it's a pretty good rep except for the hands. /Tim
  3. 24? Peanuts! I haven't counted recently, but I am at least at 75. Of course almost all are either 40+ yo vintage that I am hoping will appreciate more than they have already or modern mechanicals that I got for a song and hope to flip someday. The vintage watches were probably a good investment, but I am backing off the purchase of any more modern watches. I am not sure they will ever appreciate the way the Swiss manufacturers keep pumping out mid-line watches. I have a couple of Venturas that I think might do well since Ventura doesn't seem to be making any more mechanical watches. I do have a hard "time" passing up something that I see with a Valjoux 7750 for $300. I believe it would be impossible that I can't flip that sucker for a profit. /Tim
  4. SportsterRider: "Every rep that I've ever bought that was advertised as having a synthetic sapphire crystal has had one. For me, the easiest way to tell the different is to tap on the crystal. Sapphire sounds solid. Mineral sounds hollow, almost like tapping on a drinking glass. I can also tell the difference by the way it 'feels'. Sapphire feels smoother to me than mineral glass." That was an excellant suggestion! I just tapped on about 10 different watch crystals and you are right. The mineral glass has a distinct high note when you tap on it and the sapphie is all thud. Thanks. As I go along I might end up knowing a thing or two about watches.... /Tim
  5. Does seem a good value. Does he ever have any other sizes besides 24mm and 26mm? Limited selection as it exists. /Tim
  6. Well there is safe and there is convenient. Trouble is finding them both together. I have one seller that I regularly deal with that will accept Paypal, but only as quasi-cash. Read up about it on Paypal. Paypal doesn't advertise that option much because it circumvents the whole charge-back issue. Burnt once and I guess forever cautious. /Tim
  7. A good question is has anyone ever had a problem with International customs when traveling? /Tim
