I could use the help of senior members. I've been working on a project for a while now and seem stumped for the last few items to build my grail watch..

I have secured an old style case, 7753 dial and 7753 datewheel. I now need hands and date pusher. Unfortunately, Davidsen says he's out of silver 7753 hands, I've posted up a request in the Wanted section with no response and I'm about to abandon the project.

Would anyone be willing to help me out to find a source for a working date pusher and silver 7753 hands?

There are two versions, one made by MBW (expensive) and another less expensive version. I believe the difference in quality between the two is apparant

I owned the less expensive version (procured from TTK) and sold it - looking to procure the MBW version of this watch with Swiss 7750 from one of our dealers. Unfortunately, the dial with swiss made at 6 o'clock is no longer available in the MBW version. I believe that version (without the Swiss Made) is the watch that Puretime is offering as their more expensive version but other members may know better.

You could check Repgeek, as there is a thread from a member who did this exact upgrade recently using the MBW version and swiss made dial.

The other caveat is that the seconds at 12 version is coming, according to Andrew, using A7750 in May.

Looking at Angus new site and the AP ROO black dial on steel really caught my eye. Both he and Trusty offer what I think is the same watch with Swiss Valjoux upgrade. Anyone know if they are they same piece because one is priced lower than the other and I would like to know what some of your opinion are of the watch, how accurate is it, what is off ect. It may be my next aquisition but I want to be damn sure this time. I don't want to have to do any major mods. The gen has no AR so that won't be an issue, The AP Lume I saw on my friends gen AP RO Chrono was as bad as rep lume so that won't be an issue either. Don't want to have to swap datewheels, do any sanding, you guys get the idea

I know you're not looking for a negative opinion of King, but I wouldn't buy from her if I were you. There are better dealers out there. The last three I ordered from her were DOA on arrival and required return for repair.

Average turn-around was 9 weeks for repair (never mind shipping and customs issues) and ultimately she started to blame me saying that I was unlucky???. Not worth the trouble, I say. Besides, trying to communicate with this dealer is next to impossible since they seem to use Google translator (perhaps Babblefish) and screwed up more than a few of my orders because they didn't understand what I was saying. She may get new watches first, but I say it's better to wait and deal with a dealer who has some quality control.

Those pics really show the black steel off. Up until tonight I wanted the SS... Now I want both!

I love the SS Black dial white lettering version. It grows more and more on me every day. Does anyone have any real specifics on the availability of the Skyland?

I've only heard the rumblings of possible manufacture but nothing definitive ...

Does anyone know more about the change in the Super Ocean Steelfish seconds hand? My understanding is that Breitling went with a triangular endpoint vs. the square. Even my AD has the square in stock so I'm uncertain that the triangle is a US model?

To follow up, will the rep manufacturing start offering the triangular seconds hand?

I agree with Pugwash. Owning all of the above mentioned IWCs, the closest to gen (in my humble opinion) and the best mod platform is the 3717 Pilot Chrono.

With datewheels, lum and double (some say, triple) AR, I would classify it as indistinguishable from gen (except by an IWC WM)

I would be interested in your ability to obtain parts for the HBB. I was told by my dealer (KING) for the HBB that the factory was not providing parts and that the watch had to be sent to the factory in order to obtain a new bezel. If your dealer is telling you something different (ie that you can obtain parts like the ceramic bezel) I would be interested as I have a friend who put a deep scratch in his SS bezel and doesn't want it to happen again. I want to exchange my SS bezel for a Black ceramic one too.

Well, my order just showed up out of the blue yesterday after numerous requests for follow up. So, my opinion is that there is obviously a communication gap between PAM and the English language. He probably has to Babblefish every PM he gets. Recommendation - be patient - they showed up for me and others.

I have also not received a reply to any of my PMs here or at RWI.
