There was a major earthquake in China killing a lot of people. I believe that some of the people that sell watches and participate in this group are from China. I want to extend my condolence to all the people of China and wish the best to those that participate in the forum and have been affected by this awful tragedy.

I have a rolex no-date sub that I got from Josh over a year ago. I've been using it pretty much every day. It is my beater watch. I use it for running, swimming and everything else. I swim something like 10,000 yards a week. It's been working great. It runs a tiny bit slow, but it heck, it is a mechanical watch.
I must say that when I first got it, it had a couple of tiny specks of dust on the dial and the watchband fell off. I emailed Josh and he asked me to send it back. I did, and he sent it back perfectly clean and with a new watch band.
I am not nice on watches. Yet, this watch keeps going great. The sapphire crystal is still perfect as it should. The bezel fell off once and I re-glued it. It hasn't fell off since, but it has a couple of scratches. Anyways, I just wanted to give everyone the thumbs up on my watch and to Josh.

This morning I was telling my wife that I have been wearing my fake pretty much every day for the last two months for swimming every other day for an hour, running, bathing and everything else that I do. The watch works well and it doesn't have a scratch. She said to me with a smurk: "Well honey, its a rolex"

Don't forget to put my 16610 in the jiffy bag ...
Yeah, I had also put in for an IWC aquatimer a while back. Just a friendly reminder.

Because there are three rubber gaskets in the crown, hence the name triplock.
Thx! So I gather that you apply a little silicone grease to each gasket? Do reps also have the three gaskets on the stem?

Hi, I was looking at a post dating from December. In the pictures, you also remove the crown and stem. I wasn't sure why you did this. Can you explain? Thx,

I have been wearing a replica sub w/ no date for about 4 weeks now. I wear it pretty much every day and swim with it about 9,000-12,000 yards a week. Its holding up great.

While I was wantering the hallowed watch shops of Bangkok, trying on IWCs and the like, I saw this. You probably all know my opinion of this Daytona, but I actually had the priviledge of seeing this hideous monstrosity in the flesh. I had to try on the genuine SS Daytona to get it out of my system.
This is a picture of my expression upon seeeing the watch

Thanks for all the replies. When I go to the rolex website and compare my watch with the one on the site, It is hard for me to see any differences. Once I start looking at my watch under a magnifying glass, or the enlarged photos, then I can see that the bezel groves are longer, the font is slightly different, etc. I have to make an effort though. With the naked eye, I can't see much difference.
I must say that I am happy with my watch and I like it better than the classic sub, even if that one is a better replica. I hate the bubble over the date. One thing that I really dislike is the bracelet. It feels cheesy. I really like my invicta bracelet much better. I wish that replica rolex bracelets would feel a little more solid.
Thanks again,
Andres
the mystery of the replica world - they make 1:1 perfect Planet Oceans -but an simple no date SUB is to hard to copy to perfection ....

I suspect this sellers listings. Here is an example of one of his auctions, look at this, and then his other items by looking at his feedback.
are his rolex watches legit or not?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-SS-GMT-Master-QU...1QQcmdZViewItem
the seller is a power seller with over 900 positive feedbacks from what appears to be legit buyers. I doubt that he is selling fakes.

Is it just the photos or does that one have a deep rehaut, deeper than the average rep sub any way?????????????

This is funny. I am expecting a package from EMS from china that Josh is sending. I put the tracking number in the USPS system and it is already tracking. It is not yet tracking in the EMS website.
BTW, I am inserting an ad here. Josh is great. He is polite. He always responds to messages within 24 hours explaining what is the stuatus of a purchase, repair, or whatever else. This is not just when he is trying to make a sale.

Instead of the 007 planet oceans, I think that a mickey Mouse, Pluto, Batman, Joker or Cat woman planet ocean or sub would be really cool. Now, a mickey mouse sub would be soemthing that show originality.
Could anyone here custom make a mickey mouse noob or planet ocean? I'll be willing to buy one of those.

Actually, I am talking about a rep. I would never wear $5000 on my wrist or anywhere else. I think that a sub replica with a cartoon character would be kinda ironic. Subs are suppossed to be the ultimate in macho and expesnive. I like the idea of saying: look, I pay $100 for the same watch that you are wearing and it looks the same as yours. Not only that, but mine has a cartoon character on the face and that's how I feel about your macho watch. I can also run, swim and dive faster and better than you with my $100 sub rep.
I really like the sub. However, i never hide the fact that mine is a replica. In fact, I proudly announce it.

Hi all,
Got a quick question about the movement on my rep. It stutters and ticks (instead of sweeps) but only between the 2 and 6 hour markers, the rest of the sweep is fine. Now would you say that the watch just needs servicing/oiling?
Thanks!
Some movements may do that. ETAs usually don't. Myotas and other asian movements do so. I don't know why. I have an invicta with a myota auto. Its been doing this for a while. Yet, it was regulated by invicta and it keeps perfect time.

I like it except that I don't like the compas. I haven't figured out how the compas would work anyways. I have a seiko monster. Its one of my favorite watches. It gains about 20 seconds a day. I'll have it regulated one of this days.
If you want to look at seiko watches, go to: skywatches.com.sg
They sell cheap seiko autos for the asian and ebay market.
You'll see seiko until you puke. They go for nothing. Ive gotten a couple.

There used to be lots of these gens for sale, new even, at 50% - 70% less than retail. $495 USA would get you what you wanted. I did a search today, and they gone. What happened?

I really liked the xemex designs. They use to sell very inexpensively on ebay. After a while ebay stopped carrying them. Don't know why. I wish I had gotten one.
