My watchmaker can get hold of tritium for luming as he is an ex-rolex man... the guy who used to be in charge of all the T-lume in the old rolex watches here where I stay... he is presently in the process of luming 3 vintage PAM hommages for me... I will keep you guys updated with pics.. probably in a month's time.. Happy Holidays.. K

You can't beat a nice gen PAM GMT... I got the gen PAM89 and it is awesome.... I have been eyeing the 161 too... go for it... I think it is nicer than the 88..

Hi.. Any one setting up PVD coating runs for PAMs?? I read a few threads that some were going on.. but so far heard nothing of them.... Anyone have any good beadblasting and PVD/DLC contacts?? I have a few cases up for coating.. thanks for the info.. K

Hi. Are all the DSN SS casesets the same?? Do they all have the shorter lugs? Example: is the caseset for 111 the same as the caseset for 201A?? Is the 201A caseset more Pre-V like? Thanks for any input.

Hi.. I made a mistake... DSN does make them in sandwich dial... and I did buy one to mod it.. For some reason..I thought you were referring to the 218A dial... (Slytech dial). Damn!! I must be going senile... Sorry.. Kai

The dial is a sandwich dial with the indices lume-filled and a satin varnish finish over it.... The DSN dial is incorrect.. sausage dial... If he makes a sandwich dial version.. I will get it and mod it.. Kai

Hi all... There is nothing to 'catch' here or to smell fishy about... not necessary to make any sarcarstic replies like 'hmmmmmmm.....' AND READ PROPERLY THE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS B4 YOU MAKE COMMENTS..... my watchmaker did not lower the price.... he is not bothered about the movement selling as they are not his to sell... he is just the middle man.... I am really not out to scam anyone here... I know not many ppl here knows me... but those who do will know that I have never tried to cheat or scam anyone for the past year here.... I have also been a member on the other 3 rep forums and sold things there as well..... with no issues at all... I kinda feel hurt as I was just trying to pass on a rare deal as far as I am concern.... I trust watchmaker and he is the one the tried to source the 6497/2 movements for me when I asked him to find some for me... he asked a friend (supplier) about it and came up with 3.... assessed it and said that they are kosher..... he is not bothered about selling them as they are not his to sell.... he just authenticated them as swiss that is all..... he did not lower the price.... I trust my watchmaker about the movement being swiss .... what about the member here who says that the movement is asian just based on the pic.... can't he be wrong??? You guys are just so quick to jump and 'catch' someone sometimes... I talked to the supplier directly and to be honest.. he does not even know how much to sell the movements as they were his dad's... he just quoted a price of USD500 shipped.... which I later bargained it lower after all the feedback here...... I have not paid mine yet..... and it will be the same price as well... I am busy with my work and do not have the time to visit my watchmaker to take repeated photos..... and he is a real dumbass when it comes to taking proper photos.... great with movements and mods though... go figure... Damn!! Just trying to pass on an interesting find here and I got slammed for it......... It is not like I came on real strong to try to sell the movements.... If I was out to scam ppl....I could have just listed the price lower...... and still earn a good profit and run..... I thought this forum was about sharing...... so what if I am not paying member....... does that mean I cannot share a good lead with friends here?......... does that make me any less of a person?...... not every one can afford to pay membership and everyone has there own priorities with their money..... Anyway.... not trying to become the victim here... just airing some grievances.......... if you guys dun want them....... that is fine.............. I might take 2 for myself then....... I have showed the supplier all the feedback here... he has lowered the price to USD375 shipped... the lowest he can go... the full servicing by my watchmaker stays the same at USD100.... the rest is up to you guys.... that is the best price I manage to wrestle from him after much debate back and forth for 2 days... My watchmaker took it apart and had a look at all the parts.. as far as he knows... everything looks kosher... he compared to one of his own genuine 6497/2 movement and everything looks the same.. except the bridges.... which look like the panerai ones.... He is an ex-rolex guy and as far as I know.. trustworthy and a real standup guy.... he is not too bothered about the movements selling or not as well... the supplier is a friend of his.... and he had to pester the guy to look for these movements from his old stock when I mentioned that this might be a rare find.... only 4 came up.. I took one for myself... Kai

Hi.. Ok guys.. I passed on all the questions to the supplier and my watchmaker... Please note that I am just passing on a rare deal.. not out to make money at all.. if u guys are not interested.... it is ok... we can forget about the whole thing.. The deal is: ETA supplied these three-bridged movements to panerai.... panerai then added their own swan neck and bridge engravings.... these movements are without ETA stamp but genuine swiss.... The supplier's dad used to work for ETA and some "EXTRA" movements that were made for panerai were smuggled out.... these 3 are part of them... Ok.. there u are... up to u guys to decide....

Ok guys.. here are the pics... the is a 6497/2 hi beat 21600Hz gen swiss movement.. with secong hand pin intact.... I only have 3... cousins sell the 6497/1 low-beat movement.... More expensive than I expected.... USD500 shipped.... I am not earning anything here... just passing on a good rare deal... I already got one for myself.... Hi I might be able to get a few genuine swiss 6497-2 highbeat 21600Hz movements. I spoke to my watchmaker and he already has one for me. These are NOS. Not sure how many more I can get?? My watchmaker says probably another 10 more.... The price will be around USD350, depending on the numbers... maybe cheaper.... Just judging the interest here. How many out there will be interested?? I will try to get a pic next week... I am in Singapore btw....
