  2. Hi everyone!

I'm hoping people here smoke cigars cause I need some questions answered

My brother is getting married in a three weeks to an Indian girl in India , and he wanted me to pick up around a 150-200 cigars from here (the US) as they are much cheaper here. The thing is I dont know too much about cigars and was going to pick up some sampler packs. The cigars would be for the guests to smoke during the 5 day event.

I've been reading up on cigars and seem to have found some decent deals but since I'm a complete noob I need some feed back. Here are some that I think seem like a good deal...

  3. I was winding my BR01-92 the other day and it slipped out of my hand and fell on a marble floor. The crystal and the ring came loose and the watch stopped working :( . I can wind the watch and turn the hands but cannot hear the movement. What could have gone wrong with it? Can it be fixed?

I was thinking about taking it to a local jeweler and getting it fixed, but the couple of watch stores I went to refused to work on it as they did not know how to open it. How do I go about doing this? I was able to remove the four screws on the from and the stem but did not know how to proceed from there.

Also since the crastal is out anyway I was going to get it AR'd both sides. Which color AR is most accurate and how do I but the crystal back in so it becomes water resistant again like before. This watch was my daily beater and I rally miss it! Please help!!

  4. I'm looking into buying a nylon strap for my BR-01 PVD white numerals but not sure if I should get the v1 or the v2 by ced. Which one is more comfortable? Which one looks better? Do you think the white stitching would go better with the white numbers? Pictures would help a lot. Thanks!!

  5. Building up a decent collection of reps and was looling to get a some travel cases for my watches, sleek compact ileather ones are what I want. Looking to get 2, 4-5 and 8-10 watch cases. I saw some decent one on network54 but cant seem to find them anymore. I dont want cases that are too expensive(<$100), any recommendations? Thanks!

  6. Thats an awsome leather(croc?) strap you have there...is it a gen strap?

I bought both the blue and black dial versions at the same time, I'm leaning more towards the black recently, as I have been wearing my blue dial version pretty often, the black is more classic, imho >>>>

  7. I suppose people here are a bit scared by those paranoid laws about tritium.

Surely you can use it to lume a watch.

A paste just like superluminova is probably the best way to use it.

Just don't keep it on your wrist while you are sleeping. Even low-penetrating emissions like those from tritium might do damage if applied on your testicles or tyroid hours along...

Do you recommend using masking tape on the dial around the markers on the dial? Does this help in not messing up the dial?

  8. Tom,

I was reading up on how to relume watches and saw that you were trying to do this. Have you had good results? Did you lume your BR01? Any advice you have for me about medium and oilers? Any opinions on Ready Set Glo as opposed to Tritec? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  9. Thanks for the advice Tom. I think I'm going to go with the Black PVD with the white markers.

Also about the lume are you saying that the lume that glows green will be brighter than the lume that glows white? Because I was thinking of getting the Black PVD with white markers (which will have green lume) and have it done so it glows white. Is this possible at all? Or is it not possible to have the original lume removed?

    Hi,

I don't know where you are based, but I am in London and Jess James in Soho who are their main dealer sell the rubber strap for

  10. Was looking into getting this with the PVD and white markers and was wondering...

    1. Does Andrew's $248 version come with superlume as stated on his website or just "superb lume" like earlier?

    2. Is the gen PVD matte black or is it refelective black like the rep?

    3. Has anyone had any experience with the rep rubber strap? I've read that they are hard and uncomfortanle. How much does a gen rubber strap cost and wher can I find it onilnle?

    4. When you say black lume are you talking about painting the markers nad hands to make it the Phantom version or applying black lume to the limited edition orange versions. What color does the black lume show in the dark?

    5. Looks wise which do you prefer? The SS w/ black dial or the PVD w/ black dial? Whcih is more accurate?

    6. Could people post pics of thier B&R's (lume shots if possible)?

    Thanks!

  11. Thanks! Also do you know if anyone sells the Ferrari box for these models?

    Hi

The chrono pushers are exactly the same on all, you have to unscrew

the outer section for it to work, when you screw it back to lock it

then you will see the "button". Just like the daytona or Evo

Both these models are excellent reps you will not be disapointed

    Regards

    Richard

  12. I've been meaning to buy one of these watches and looked at the group buy from Sash and saw that the version which Sash was selling had the choono pushers where the whole puser would be depressed where as on Angus' and Ruby's versions they had the corrext 'button' types of pushers.

So my question is, are there any more major differeces in models from dealer to dealer. I can't seem to find any discrepancies between Angus' and Ruby's except for the price. Is there anything I should know about(the dot on the crown, lume, engraved rotor, misaligned markers, strap or buckle) or are these the 'Ultimate' versions of the FER008 ana FER011

  13. Could someone post a pic of the BR-01 92 (46mm) next the 45mm Planet Ocean? Since teh new BR-03 (42mm) came out I want to compare the sizes to my PO and see which one would fit better. Made some cut outs but that didnt really help

    Thanks!

  14. Thanks for all the suggestions....very helpfull. I see where you are coming from with the Seiko but it's not really dressy enough and my friend wears his digital when sailing so It's really for wearing the rest of the time ie home/work. I like the Corum and had a look at a gen today at the ADs but I think it's a bit too pretty and ornate. Also, I don't want non-working chronos. So I'm leaning towards the Breitling Steelfish SuperOcean which is already waterproof and is dressy & sporty/practical at the same time. I'm going with the Asian ETA 2813. Any comments on this movement? Finally, what's the consensus on the best colour for the face, white?:

    240868-9916.jpg

    or black?:

    240868-9917.jpg

    Thanks

I'd go either with the white or blue. Not a big fan of the black.
