Ubi, thank you very very much! If poss, and by pm if preferred could you point me in the direction to purchase the parts needed if it isn't too much trouble?
After seeing pics of Ubi's franken explorer, which is just superb, does the WM9 or MBK even come close? I ask because I have no idea where to purchase the case etc to have one built, and lastly would an ETA 2836-2 be a suitable movement for this watch if I was to go the franken route? Please give your opinions guys!
Possibly you could install a gen dial, but the subdial spacing would be way out, unless you had a gen movement of course, I think this only applies to the moonwatch, as the A7750 six nine twelve configuration is apparently spot on. That's as much as I know
Though having not dealt with you personally CBR you have always seemed to me to be helpful and considerate to others.
I do hope your personal situation allows you to return soon, as obviously your sons are your first priority, but, and I'm sure all will agree, this family will always be here for you. Good luck mate.
It's such a shame no collector has pushed for this, there's bound to be a lot of interest for one surely? And as far as my ( untrained ) eye can see, it wouldn't be such a difference from the chrono version, although any info on perhaps why this cannot happen is more than welcome too
Is there, or indeed will there ever be a non chrono version of the aquatimer? I love the chrono version too but find the non chrono more visually appealing. Any info greatly appreciated gentlemen
As the topic's title suggests, is there any info on watches worn by INfamous people? I'm sure most of us have an idea what movie stars wear which brand, and was just wondering what the maniacs in the world like to wear!
Gentlemen, it seems I may have found the solution. The main ingredient that removes the glue is acetone, so any common or garden nail polish remover should do the trick! Thanks to all of you who posted, and if anyone knows where to get hold of new springbars for the Ingy i'd be most grateful for the info
I have no idea if what you are writing is true or not, but the following link does give pause for thought..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7586605.stm
@ Andy, I don't know for sure, but they look like bars of some sort where the bracelet/strap fits on to the Ingy. Ken it seems the glue seeped into the hole where the bars are in place when the strap that was fitted came apart and my younger brother tried to mend it using the glue
As the topic's title suggests, I need to dissolve or remove superglue from springbars stuck in a IWC Ingy, and if anyone knows where I could get some springbars for the same watch, that would be great. I'm sure you can guess what happened lol.
Posts such as this, and Freddy's input on the subject, are an education to me and help me to fully appreciate the intricacies of each manufacturer. Thank you both.
