All of the seconds at 12 ap roo reps are made by the same factory so regardless of dealer will be the same quality Weight should not be a concern of yours unless you are looking for a gold model The ap roo reps have some obvious tells if you know what to look for compared to the gen but weight is not one of them for the ss or titanium options at least

If the gen uses c1 superlume and the modder uses c1 superlume the color will be the same C1 is a stock color not some custom mix C1 is C1 as long as the real stuff it would have the same color if my 3 year old applied or a pro like The Zigmeister, vac, etc did You want to choose a modder based on quality of their work not color of their c1

You are going to take a rep that without mods is 95% accurate and make it 98% accurate Is it worth it, that is your call What you are paying for the 3 percent is very high in comparison to the 95

Overall finishing looks not finely hand brushed like the gen would be Logo on dial does not look as crisp as it should Caseback printing/engraving looks very poor Chronograph = the extra subdials and pushers Don't think ap would make a watch with more than 1 hand/dial with a quartz movement

Don't believe ap makes any quartz chronographs They do make some quartz lady ro watches but never see a roo Plus looks cheap, very unlike ap like

It is a quartz rep so worth about $100 give or take a little If you can fix it or find someone to fix it for less than $50 sure it is worth doing Otherwise sold as is it is worth $40 to someone I would imagine

I would advise against the iwc portu as your first rep Something to add as your 4th watch maybe but odds are too great the movement may have a problem to take that chance on your first and sour your experience

Definitely get a 44 mm model The quality of the 048 is poor The 104, 088, 237, 029, 164 would all be better quality auto models that you should look at if you like the 048 Nothing to do with size, the rep quality differences are huge Pam reps made 3+ years ago (which the 048 was) suck compared to those made in the last year or two
