All of the seconds at 12 ap roo reps are made by the same factory so regardless of dealer will be the same quality Weight should not be a concern of yours unless you are looking for a gold model The ap roo reps have some obvious tells if you know what to look for compared to the gen but weight is not one of them for the ss or titanium options at least

If the gen uses c1 superlume and the modder uses c1 superlume the color will be the same C1 is a stock color not some custom mix C1 is C1 as long as the real stuff it would have the same color if my 3 year old applied or a pro like The Zigmeister, vac, etc did You want to choose a modder based on quality of their work not color of their c1

Any lumer can use and would have c1 lume it is extremely common Yes $150 seems an average price

You are going to take a rep that without mods is 95% accurate and make it 98% accurate Is it worth it, that is your call What you are paying for the 3 percent is very high in comparison to the 95

Overall finishing looks not finely hand brushed like the gen would be Logo on dial does not look as crisp as it should Caseback printing/engraving looks very poor Chronograph = the extra subdials and pushers Don't think ap would make a watch with more than 1 hand/dial with a quartz movement

Don't believe ap makes any quartz chronographs They do make some quartz lady ro watches but never see a roo Plus looks cheap, very unlike ap like

It is a quartz rep so worth about $100 give or take a little If you can fix it or find someone to fix it for less than $50 sure it is worth doing Otherwise sold as is it is worth $40 to someone I would imagine

I would advise against the iwc portu as your first rep Something to add as your 4th watch maybe but odds are too great the movement may have a problem to take that chance on your first and sour your experience

Definitely get a 44 mm model The quality of the 048 is poor The 104, 088, 237, 029, 164 would all be better quality auto models that you should look at if you like the 048 Nothing to do with size, the rep quality differences are huge Pam reps made 3+ years ago (which the 048 was) suck compared to those made in the last year or two

Across the forums have had many experiences selling to new members and always worked out fine The potential lot of bad apples is small If you are uncomfortable ask privately for tel#, work email for correspondence or PayPal gift payment If the new member is not a scammer and you are a longtime member they should understand

Ken: in the same vein if you recall all if the big dealers took hublots off their sites Some even setup sister sites to sell only hublots But I think those fears have subsided as all dealers now list Hublot all over their sites Not saying they may not have more minions lurking than other similar brands but think they for the most part fought their battle and have now focused on anti counterfeit measures and other things to try and stay a step ahead of the counterfeiters rather than try and fight them on their own turf In conclusion I don't think you should let their witch hunt of years back affect them having a section here now Hublot could see a little resurgence with some strap makers coming out with some Hublot specific straps

If getting the cp it is now v5 not v4 Cyclops now with ar and pushers properly rounded I believe are the differences, don't think u can even get the v4 anymore but just in case make sure u request the most recent one Of the 2 you are looking at chrono passion would get my vote

Ammo strap 243 looks amazing on ammo wearing mine on a Kevin ammo right now but it is a versatile watch that works with most any vintage or ammo style leather but also croc straps Preferably a strap with a long tail and nice buckle for this watch to match its character

Individual opinions vary The rep ROO ss bracelet I assume I mean I found it very hefty and well built Same as gen in most regards The finishing is nice but not gen op nice Overall to me it is good but did not look under close inspection like a $3000 bracelet Screw quality, hand brushing, clasp not up to gen ap standards and to me therefore not as well repped as the rubber strap, diver buckle or case itself Still a nice rep bracelet overall

Beat rate is the same In theory time keeping accuracy should the same as well Overall the eta is better made so less likely to experience problems Most if not all parts are interchangeable so very little difference overall Higher percent chance of reliability and longevity is what you are getting with an eta

Looks great but 029 should not have straight c1 lume Gen is much more green when uncharged
