  1. Happy with mine as well, but wish typing was faster. Also hoping they launch that talked about app store. The IPhone is just so much more fun and functional with all of the apps available for free or cheap money.
  2. Lani, I hope you don't mind if I add this pic of a couple of my watches with Cheif's coating. Many people question if you see the difference with a white dial, I think this shot does a good job of demonstrating that indeed it does.
  3. Thanks ByTor, It was fun setting these up but I have a long way to go. I can't believe all of the DUST!!! Didn't see that until I loaded the pics. The Bentley looks to have a scratch but that was just a piece of dust hair. Lighting will definitely take some practice to get right. I will give another photo shoot later this week and see if that goes better, getting some goodies frmom The Zigmeister next week and I want to make sure my skills are improved by the time they arrive. Cheers, M
  4. My first day with a lightbox and attempt at editing photos. Please comment, I still have a long way to go but for the first time I am genuinely pleased with the results of my photos. Cheers, R
  5. Adding aftermarket AR to reps when the gen does not have the same AR or at least not double sided AR. This has been done by many members, including myself on my AP ROO. I have seen many members AR coat Gens as well to make them look better. I guess that would qualify. Cheers, M
  6. Thanks for posting these great comparison pics I have experienced the magic first hand and have spoken his praises but never was able to Accurately photograph the difference Your pictures to an excellent job but in person it is even more Dramatic Cheers rogerthat
  7. no offense taken Dani, my bulldog is 7 years old now and other than the typical problems he has been in good health, a real 60b teddy bear. I agree that the constant over breeding has cause numerous problems and the fact is this breed is not well thought out in terms of their breathing ability, folds that are subject to infection, etc. They have changed over time from a fighting dog that was excellently condition to an overweight dog with medical issues from day one, it is said that this was all done on purpose. Personally as long as the owner is committed to loving and taking care of his or her dog I respect it. Too many people take on a dog as a pet without thinking about the responsibility or financial committment required. Hate the thought of the breed or not but you don't see pedigree Bulldogs at a rescue becuase their owners pay so much for the dog they will be more willing or able to pay for proper vet care which can be a problem with other breeds and non-pedigree dogs. Before him I had a shepard/rotti mixed mutt. Monster of a dog at 120 lb. but the kindest/smartest dog I ever knew, at the time my lifestyle allowed me to spend the needed time with him and he went with me everywhere. Dog never had any health issues in the 6 years I had him, was an easy and rewarding dog to own. While not in my care over a weekend, he was left in a car on too hot a day, sad story died due to heat stroke in the car. He will always hold a place in my heart.
  8. Nice photo and a good point. If you prefer the look of the BCE but want a brushed finish instead of polished the BlackBird would make a great choice as well. Size is the same as the BCE and the big date really looks cool. Cheers, rogerthat
  9. I love my English Bulldog, and my vet loves me! For me although I knew they are not a healthy breed they fit my lifestyle. I used to own a mixed breed, the only benefit to a pedigree dog is that you have more control over what to expect them to be when they grow up. Each dog has their own personality but the specific breeds have certain traits that usually stay consistant. Unfortunately I need to leave a dog alone for most of the day and this breed really does not need exercise during the day, it would be cruel for me to get an active breed. My bulldog is content lying on my lap on the couch when I am home and lying on the couch by self when I am at work. Cheers, rogerthat
  10. All of the seconds at 12 come from the same factory. The seconds at 9 are available from 2 different factories and are 2 different levels of quality as a result. Fact is the gen runs seconds at 12, so that is why many members would only consider the seconds at 12. The seconds at 9 was a good seller, before they launched the seconds at 12. One of the major reasons for the higher price is that the movement needs extra gears to move the seconds at 12, this extra work means extra money hence the higher price. That and 1 factory means they can charge whatever they think they can get, no competition. If the seconds at 9 is orinally an MBW/MBK watch the quality will be on par with the seconds at 12 option only than the seconds position. If it is a seconds at 9 from the other factory than no the quality will no be the same in terms of the materials and construction. Cheers, rogerthat
  11. I think your top 3 options are or should be: Chronomat Evolution (BCE) SteelFish SuperOcean (SFSO) Skyland (SA) not to be confused with the Super Avenger also SA but much larger in size your wrist could handle any of these 3. BCE 44 MM in size, case not very thick though so it wears a bit smaller than other 44MM watches available in graphite or a slate grey face plus the usual Black, White, Blue Polished: with the bracelet there is a showiness / bling factor. Dressiest of the 3 watches Chronograph. SteelFish 43MM or 44MM in size. Wears about the same as the BCE becuase it is slightly thicker. The most accurate in terms of lack of flaws but not as complicated either as there is no chornograph. Most reliable movement. Brushed: no as flashy, or dressy as the others. Only negative based on what you requested is that it does not offer a grey face: White, Blue or Black only. Only 1 of the that I would trust in the water. Skyland 44 or 45MM in size. Wears larger than the other 2 becuase it is so thick, tall on the wrist. Probably the best bang for your buck in all of rep world right now. Highly accurate rep. There is a grey option as well as a Black and Blue I believe. Polished: like the BCE this is a showy watch but it is not as dressy becuase of the extra thickness. Accuracy to gen: probably just behind the SFSO ahead of the BCE Happy Hunting! All 3 of these are winners you really cannot go wrong. 3 different looks. My best guess is you will have all 3 soon enough. Even the least accurate of the 3 (BCE) is more accurate than any PAM for the same amount of money in my opinion. These Breitlings are the best of the best. Strangley enough: If I was rating on accuracy or recommending to others I would go: SFSO, SA, BCE If I was rating on personal preferece, and yes I do own all 3: I would go: BCE, SA, SFSO I greatly prefer the look of the BCE myself. Cheers, rogerthat
  12. If you are getting a full service anyway, that should solve whatever the problem is. I would see this as a huge red flag but my decision would be to either return it if you still can which is a pain in the butt or have it fully serviced. Since you are servicing it anyway I think you have answered your own question. Cheers, R
  13. I got my AP ROO seconds at 12 coated and it makes a huge difference. The fact that the crystals are flat mean that the coating has even more of a "invisible" effect. Same as HBB crystals. Gen accuracy or not it makes the watch look nicer and therefore closer to gen quality IMO. Cheers, R
  14. Sounds like a BCE is the perfect fit for what you are requesting. Just make sure to get the upgraded datewheel version and you are all good. Cheers, M
  15. PWC on repgeek, he is also Time4Direct on RWI has posted that he has these available for purchase. They are a steep $200 though, but he claims real sapphire that he specially had made for a small run of Swiss 7750 212 or 253 recently that someone paid top doallr for. Anyway if $200 does not turn you off, look him up and send him a message. He is a dealer on both of those forums. Cheers, R
  16. Rep and gen are the same of course Cheers, Rogerthat
  17. I vote ICE, as I believe it is more accurate and I love the Ice Bang dial. I would highly prefer a ceramic bezel with the ICE dial or my custom watch which is a ICE dial with SS case and Ceramic Bezel. Cheers, M
  18. Great wrist shots!!!
  19. Arrowax, I recommending sending a pm to The Zigmeister asking him to email to you his service list which will have pricing If his pm is closed that means he is booked solid with appointments for quite some time and you will have to wait until hispm is open Cheers M
  20. Fantastic pair Is that the blacksteel The Zigmeister just modded? Cheers, M
  21. Pwc on repgeek said he could get them for $200 In sapphire he said be did a small run as a special request Think he called it the 212 crystal but I believe the crystal is identical on these 2 models Pricey I know but it may be your only option Cheers M
  22. Ok, I will choose to believe The Zigmeister you can believe what you read elsewhere. Even Gen movements are to be serviced every 3-5 years.
  23. I think the main point here is that reagrdless of seconds at 3, seconds at 12, seconds at 9 the movements being shipped from the factories are in very poor shape. A service is highly recommended. If you plan on throwing away your watch when it breaks down then get what time you can with it and discard and buy a new one when it breaks. If you want to keep it long term, pay the couple of hundred bucks to have the movement serviced. I don't understand: Shanghai Automatic Chronograph Movement 3LZF2 circa 120-150. Including fitting about $200. Not sure if these are the same movements put into replicas but I was recommended this. for the same cost, you could have had your Asian 7750 fully serviced. A fully serviced movement if done by a professional should give you a gen quantity movement. If you like the AP ROO you could get a seconds at 9 rep but you will always know that it is wrong. The gen seconds are at the 12 so if you want an accurate rep you have to go for this model. This is risk involved with any rep purchase. Besides shody quality in the factories they are illegal in most places. Also not all AP ROO's are $30K some are less than half this, furthermore some members here can afford them if they choose to and in fact some members have and do own the gen so speak for yourself. Not all members are trying to fool anyone. Cheers, M
  24. Put me down for 40, though I try not to ever have more than 10 at a time gen or rep. Get a new one find a new home for an old one and repeat the process over and over. Cheers, M
  25. None of these are featured dealers on this site, each of the dealers here usually also have their own website which you can make your purchase from. This site is here to keep you from getting scammed and you are lucky to have found this site before making a purchase. Please research the site more before asking another question as your answers are here you just need to look harder. Cheers, M
