  1. Looks exactly the same here (on tapatalk)
  2. Noob factory production is way behind demand for their watches Not sure of any noob factory watch that has come out in the last 6 months that is "in stock" 111, 243, 029, 127, 217, ap diver v3 Now add the 104 and 164 too And I am sure I missed a few
  3. Makes sense I agree with you if you like the bracelet look better than go for it
  4. Strange you dislike the roo rubber for tiny differences yet like the rep bracelet Hand the rubber to a gen owner and they likely would not suspect anything Hand them the bracelet and they would suspect something is not right The rubber rep straps may have differences bit are similar quality To me the bracelet is inferior quality to the gen IMO No offense meant, I appreciate all of your dedication to the ap reps
  5. For the most part the Chinese watch factories are amazing at replicating steel and rubber but when it comes to leather, quality matters and they use the cheap stuff. There have been a couple of new Panerai lether rep straps of high quality but otherwise best to stay away from rep leather straps for all rep watches. Buy it on the bracelet or rubber and then buy aftermarket leather straps. Panatime, Bob Waccec (sp) make some nice quality at great priced Breitling style straps or splurge and go with a gen strap which are easy to find
  6. jlc: this is a new version of the 104 from the Noob factory there have been previous versions, but no dealer has stock yet on this new one from the Noob factory.
  7. The rubber band on the V3 Diver is brand new, the holes are larger to accomadate the larger buckle on the diver, so no it is not the same strap. The steel bracelet is great quality for a rep bracelet, but in my opinion it still feels like a rep bracelet, compared to the watch itself I don't think it is of the same quality. The gen bracelet I believe is a $3000 option so it is tough to match the quality with the sub $100 rep bracelet.
  8. Both you guys are misinformed. As I stated they wear roughly the same, the Chrono is a little taller in height, the Diver does wear flatter but they are using the same case size other than height. If they were not using the same case size how could the bracelet and same straps fit on both? I will let a picture prove my point... big difference???
  9. Not sure if the Noob factory does not want to sell to Josh/Andrew Or if Josh/Andrew made a decision to not sell backordered watches due to the added headaches that causes. Had a new Noob 127 ; it is a great rep but I am not sure it was one of the most accurate. Still think the crystal distortion is an issue and the same typical tells as an open caseback Pam. Build quality is up their with the best of them though and the real deal is so rare it would be hard to find anyone that would no any different. In the end I found it too large for my fairly large sized wrists and moved on.
  10. No wrong answer. I have owned 5 variations of the AP ROO's seconds at 12 (Black Thames, White Thames, Black Rubberclad, RG Rubberclad and Ruben Barrichello) ; and since sold them all. Have no AP's currently but just approved QC pics of the V3 diver yesterday so I will have one very soon. My reason for getting another AP, I wanted a new summer watch to wear on the boat and similar occasions and the AP Diver seemed as good a choice as any. As stated both the accuracy and also the reliability will be higher on the Diver. The seconds at 12 movement may need a servicing so factor that in as a potential cost as well. The ROO's offer a much wider selection, the added complications/busier dial due to the chrono features, and overall I think a fancier looking watch. if you prefer leather straps and especially hornback crocs which AP is know for, stick to the Chronos. Those type of straps can't get wet so they look silly on a diver. If you prefer Rubber, then go with the Diver. I plan on getting mine wet and swimming with it, hopefully it will be waterproof or I will be upset. They both wear roughly the same in terms of size and are great quality reps.
  11. Yeah the flaws are things most would not notice The build quality is too notch and it is an excellent rep!
  12. Diver is more accurateSome prefer a chrono watch though and the ap roo series are great reps as wellTo buy solely based on accuracy is foolishLook through the various models of the chrono series and if you like one much better than the diver get that 1Dials are great on allDate position is likely what you are thinking of which is a minor flaw that is not correctable on the Roos
  13. Love the Divers, just got my QC pics from Batch 2 on the AP Diver!
  14. Basically any watch made by noob factory has similar story All you can do is preorder and wait
  15. Everyone uses PayPal As mentioned, what other choice is their I have sent and received gift payments as well a bunch of times but try to use the gift option only a small percentage of the time
  16. Oem jv is expensive $300 or so Peterwatch and orloff alternatives are 100-150
  17. Have no pics for you, but personally don't think the dark brown asso strap is a great choice for this watch. I would look at some lighter color straps. An OEM JV for example would be the [censored] if you like croc. http://www.philippinewatchclub.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=6992 If too pricey Orloff and Peterwatch have there versions of sueded JV style croc straps. Greg Stevens Crazy Horse with black stitching. http://www.gregstevens-design.com/pvd-suggestions.html DiStefano's website shows a bunch of examples, check it out for some inspiration: http://www.distefanostraps.com/galleria.asp Any lighter brown/tan/gold strap with either black edges or black stitches tends to really look good with the dark case.
  18. If you have not done it before it takes some practice to remove and reinstall the bracelet on most Breitlings. Still should be something with a strap tool or even just a small screwdriver should be able to handle themselves though. And once you get the hang of it, the process becomes easier. Putting on and removing a made for Breitling strap though is a piece of cake, much easier than a bracelet and any noob with a small screwdriver will be able to handle it. One note of caution, it is a major PITA to fit many of the made for Pam straps as they are much thicker and the location of the springbar holes in Breitling lugs is very deep. Have done it a few times and honestly must say you are better off never attempting it, have always gotten them to work but usually takes 100 tries and a few scratches.
  19. I am considering a 164, but not sure I want to be on another pre-order waiting list and have no confidence that this watch can be purchased any other way Noob factory demand is far outweighing their production levels. Frankly I would rather they stop releasing new models for a month plus until they can get caught up on the backorders. Seems like a bad business decision
  20. Zorro: is this relumed by you or a modder? If not, I am extremely impressed if this is otb rep lume. As far as modders, from what I have heard Vac is swamped right now so it may be tough to get him to take a new job. UWE have not heard good things lately, so I would tread carefully there.
  21. This is great news! We all knew they would rep the movement as they can't continue to use totally inaccurate looking unmodified 7750 and compete for sales against other 1:1 offerings, but I think no one expected it to be repped this soon. Hopefully the factories will have access to this new movement soon and start launching some watches to go with it.
  22. My guess is that your watch may not accept parts from one of the more accurate ones and likely has other issues If solid caseback the movement may not be decorated either for 1 example, front crystal probably not sapphire, etc... If you like the look I would keep it as is and buy a new noob fiddy
  23. If you examined one carefully you will note it is one of the most complex reps and made up of many more parts than other reps hence the higher price
  24. Ouch, that looks bad. No memory at all of hitting against something? The crystal is one of the best features of the new 111 models, was your's noob of h factory version?
  25. Thanks for sharing your amazing adventure Hope u are feeling better now!
