I bought a couple of Cartier fountain pens from Andrew a couple of years ago... The pens didn't work properly (but they were cheap).

Looks like the links are all working again.

I find myself hopping between the four forums (RWG, RWG1, RWI, and RG) but overall I'd say there's not enough interesting dialogue, so I find myself not really posting anything (just have been on to check the shoutbox and PMs), so I spend my forum time on other boards.

I was just looking at that auction the other day when it was still going.. I was thinking of pulling the trigger, but I changed my mind.
Congrats on your purchase, it's a good deal! (Glad to see a fellow RWG member scooped it up)

I would say left is rep, right is gen.
Both look great in my opinion.

Looks like a great watch, but I have a question... Is the green film on the surface of the crystal or is it on the inside? I read a post on RG from someone who bought one of these (not sure which dealer), and the green film was peeling off because it was placed on the surface [not my photos]:

Nice blue lume though

I agree with Admin. There have been a number attempts at this and all go largely unused. I think the Shoutbox we have is working OK for short chats...
I didn't know you guys tried this already. Just thought I would help you guys out and contribute.

Basically, we've had this request a few times over the years and we have set up a chat area a couple of times. Unfortunately, it never gets used by anybody. Sure, there is some activity the first couple of days, but after that it slowly dies. So based on previous experience, I'm saying no to this.
No problem, just thought I would throw the idea out there.
Seems like you've already made it public before getting approval .... you seem to have everything set up before gettig the so call approval..It only takes 5 seconds to "set up a channel" and I never told anyone where to go, so no, I did not make anything public.

P.S., If I do set this up, the administrators of this forum would have full control of the chat room.
Just waiting for approval before making this public (I already have the channel set up, bots pending approval).

As I've said in the shoutbox, the problem with live chat is it kills the forum activity really. Sure the activity is good on the chat room but otherwise isnt great..
Have experience of this when I managed a popular forum of my own once.
Given the nature of the hobby and the content which seems to be mostly picture centric, I don't see chat as a more effective means of communication for us, thats what the shoutbox is for I guess!
Just my opinion though..
... and as I've replied in the shoutbox, I believe it would compliment the forum. There are 21,260+ members on this forum, I highly doubt that everyone would start flocking to the chat room instead of coming here. As you've said, the content is mostly photo centric (and centered towards reviews of watch collectors), that's something that can't be achieved in a chat room. I see the chat room as a good place to talk about whatever is on your mind (whether it's about watches or not) in real-time.

I heard about this on another forum.
We've lost a valuable contributor to society today.

Would it interest anyone if there was a live chat for RWG members to discuss anything (from watches to off-topic discussion)?
I have experience in setting up IRC (Internet Relay Chat) channels and bots, and I would be more than happy to set one up, so that we can chat with eachother in real-time (I could even set up a help bot to assist first-timers with information about reps and such)
Just say the word and I'll set it up.

Great read.
I've only been to Anchorage a few times since I moved to Alaska a few years ago. I should really set some time off for myself to experience what the rest of the state has to offer.

Just seeing if there any other satellite radio enthusiasts on the board.
Does anyone here have SIRIUS Satellite Radio (or XM Satellite Radio)?
If so, what radio(s) do you own? What are some of your favorite channels?
I have a lifetime subscription with a Starmate 4 radio. Some of my favorite channels include "Classic Vinyl", "Classic Rewind", "Deep Tracks", "The Bridge", and Howard Stern (100/101). It's a great service and I encourage everyone to at least give it a try.
They have a free 7-day trial of the Internet feed on their website at http://www.sirius.com/freetrial/register (No CC required, just name and e-mail).

Coca-Cola doesn't have any involvement with Monster energy drinks. It could just be that your country's Coca-Cola distributor also distributes "Monster".
Coca-Cola's energy drink is called "Full Throttle"
Then there's an energy soda by Coca-Cola called Vault (which is loaded with caffeine [it used to be called Surge])
I don't really drink energy drinks but when I do, I usually go for a "Vault"
No guarana, or any herbal extracts. Caffeine is the magic ingredient (70.5mg/can, 117.5mg/bottle). It's a citrus soda.

All of the links are broken for me as well, when I try to open it
For example, when I click one link it takes me to:
http://www.rwg.cc//index.php?showtopic=77656.html&hl=held+by+customs
... and it tells me that I am required to log in (despite being logged in already)
When I try to log in again, it just drops me to the main page (same result when I remove the extra '/' in the URL)
Tried it with both Firefox and Internet Exploder.

I originally registered on this forum a few years ago (but I never posted, and never really stuck around) but I recently received an e-mail saying that the forum was back online, so I thought I would check it out and I've found a lot of good stuff on here, so I think I'm here to stay this time.
I don't have any reps yet, I'm still absorbing all the information on the boards, but I look forward to getting to know you all and sharing some photos of any reps I buy (I'm already dead set on getting a WM9 v2 as my first rep).
WM9 .. what version are you sporting ?

Ehh? V3? I just bought the WM9 v2 from BK.. When did the v3 come out (and what's the difference)?
Anyways as I said, I have a WM9 v2 Submariner from BK with the clark crystal and his custom crown. The watch is perfect (though it's running abnormally slow, but I'm sending the watch back tomorrow to get it serviced)
BK is a great dealer!
