  1. I have decided to add a padded felt/velour floor in the upper section of my cabinet. I'm thinking tufted maroon or chocolate colour but am uncertain.

Anyway, I thought I'd post a couple of pics and ask for ideas. Obviously I want it to look professional and I know a few might think tufting will look dated but I have an idea for that, which will hopefully look good.

I'd love to get suggestions for anything which folks think might look better

Here is a pic of the cabinet in closed position, to provide some context.

  2. Those croc shoes are by Gaziano & Girling. Google the name and you should be able to find them. From memory they're around £800 - which is a sh}#{load of money I think. That said, I have spent a similar amount on shoes but they were 100% custom/handmade for me.

  3. There is a green rep I used throughout 2014. It's weight is very good and the green material was an excellent analogue of the original. Signature was right, so too size and shape. It's let down only by the electroplating which rubbed back a little over the year.

And before anyone asks, it's no longer available as an accurate rep due to material changes in the green stone material.

  4. I buy shoes internationally a fair bit and believe you should have bought a UK size 6. That said, it is possible to stretch them without damage  -  you can buy shoe stretchers for around $30 (China - Cedar) and shoe stretching spray which DOES work. I have around 30 pairs with maybe 10 - 12 from the UK and Asia ... some are snug but I keep them on shoe trees when I'm not wearing them and they feel fine after a few minutes of minor discomfort - I guess both shoe and foot re-form themselves around the other.

FWIW I think your double monks are stunning  -  the last (shape) looks great!

I have 4 pairs of double monks myself and love wearing them a lot.

My favourite shoes overall, are Jeffery-West .

They are handmade and quite reasonably priced in my opinion. Even the soles are crafted to stand out!
