Pics! and weird story but when I was a lot younger this is one of the first rolex's I ever handled and got to actually inspect. Some guy at a mall was trying to sell this watch to my mom for her to give to me (she obviously did not want me having one at a young age ) He was telling my mom at the time that rose gold two tone datejust were pretty rare (I have no idea if this is true or not). The watch really really (and yes it was creepy) stood out in such a familiar fashion as if I obviously have "met" this watch before and keep in mind I had no idea I was going to ever see this watch again and now I own it. That is an amazing feeling to own something I crossed paths with and really wanted at the time 10+ years ago.

TC is a member here and not a trusted dealer (not saying he's untrustworthy) and to me a gen crystal is way more clear and if you get one with the etched coronet you don't have to worry about it being to "loud" also it's more convincing IMHO if you use a gen service 25-295c with the side ways S which means its a service crystal (I had bk install one on my TW best) hope this helps

Just bought a genuine 16030 non quickset transitional era rose gold two tone datejust. As I understand the newer 16030 has a 3035 so just curious if any experts here can tell me what movement is in my watch! Thanks and pics will follow soon tonight! I just got this on my lunch break when I saw it at a pawn shop I just had to have it.

Would you (and be honest) get this over a TW best?

The only issue I see on spending 3600 for a sub is that it won't be 100% original to itself when I've seen and know of subs that are late model and are priced at 4300 dollars. I got a buddy who has a Z serial for 4800

Then that would mean a bk TW could Be modifies to fit a gen 3035 seeing how it has a 2836-2

I think you can still get a bone stock TW for 470.00 from bk is the tc sub better then a stock TW?

Put some gen parts on that baby and you can easily hang with TWs and wm9 either or though that's an awesome watch. We're going to have to keep an eye on these tc subs and see how they are going to improve

I have been offered a case for sale by a member and need to know who made the case as that will determine how smooth my build will go. The case is stamped 16613 and the serial is M241509

Man I have a gen DJ with roman dial minus the ETA and this ETA has been a REAL nightmare...JMB if you ever want to work magic on my watch please let me know...it REALLY needs real expert hands on it...its one thing after another

Even though its the same as a 16610 case..does a 16613 case exist cause I really want a franken 16613 build. I just got an insert (have an extra if any one needs one) and its kind of got me wanting an awesome build. If not I would settle for just buying a TW case assembly and hunting down gen parts like I did for my TW 16610
