Does anyone know who does custom number engraving on titanium cases? I’m referring to the actual case and not the case back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here are some pics of my Franken 036. Gen service dial (L), Gen OPII movement, and Gen Titanium case and crown. Gen strap and titanium buckle. Jacob case back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you Mac for the info. I haven’t built any Frankens in a while. I’ve only purchase some already built . It’s been a while since we had our H-Town get togethers. Hope you are well. Mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Things have changed a lot in the rep game over the past few years. I used to be very familiar with all the Vietnamese case sellers. I haven’t done a building quite some time. Does anyone know the best source currently for a Daytona Zenith 16520 case? I’m looking to build one. I’ve seen a few of these full builds for sale, but none in CONUS. Thanks! I started this thread almost 9 years ago. It seems he was referring to the Yuki movement we have all grown familiar with. While it's not an 100% clone, it's close and we don't have to cut our dial feet any longer.
I had a rep of this about 20 years ago. I had a local hook up for reps back then. It had a Seiko quartz movement in it. The dial was a dark blue. I believe the watch got lost in one of my moves. I haven't seen it in about 10 years.
I would make sure you are getting what you are paying for.
It appears this dial has been heat treated. The lume becoming dried out as it appears in the close up pics. Someone payed some big $$$ for that dial. I would not be surprised to see see a 16550 with that dial in it soon for sale on Ebay.
The dial looks gen, but it appears to be artificially aged to look like a gen cream dial. I have the gen and can tell you it is way off. People are bidding it up...

I still have mine and really haven't worn it much. The bezel is very loose on mine but the watch looks great. I should have bought another one or two at the time.
I have one I bought back in that same time period. Mine has the Paul Newman style gold dial with the black chronos. It is all solid 18k gold. I get compliments on it all the time.
