  1. It uses the Valjoux 234 in it. The earlier models of this watch used the Valjoux 7734 movement.
  2. Anybody got the clark tropic part number???
  3. What part number Clark Tropic did you get? I have a loose bezel on mine too. I am glad somebody figured out how to fix the problem! I just put a rivited bracelet on mine and it looks great!
  4. Good info. Let's see what the teardown reviews tell us. Why don't they just make a clone of the Rolex gen movements?
  5. Why not just save yourself time and money and jump on this one in the for sale section? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=89204
  6. That is a keeper! Enjoy that masterpiece!!!
  7. What do you think? Looks like a reproduction case to me... http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-ROLEX-Tudor-Mo...%3A2%7C294%3A50
  8. That does look better! I like the sparkle to it now!
  9. Not a bad first rep watch. The beat on the 21j is a little slower than gen Rolex, but what the heck for the price!
  10. After doing some research, it looks as though these watches are from Phong. He is selling them retail for $950 a piece. He is using real ETA movements with the tudor rotor on them and refinishing them to look like gen tudor ETA movements. There are several model numbers, dials and movements in these. This is for sure the best rep I have seen yet. I wonder where the cases come from? Who is the manufacturer and how can some poor guys like us buy a few at a decent price? lol
  11. If you sand it, it will take off the PVD coat...
  12. Very nice! The only thing let to do is the saw rotor bearing being changed out and the removal of the fat Hublot logo on the movement and replace it with a thinner logo sticker. If you did that you would have a 100% 1:1 look alike!
  13. The 7750 model has a thicker case and will not accept a gen V72 movement. These is a v23 version that will accept a v23 movement in it which is similar to the V72, but not all chrono functions work. If you want a v72 version you will have to ask him for that version.
  14. I believe the MBW case to fit the El Primero movement does not have any serial numbers or model numbers on it. I believe the jaw case does.
  15. Welcome to the forum! We are having a get together this Saturday in Houston. PM me for more info...
  16. Try polishing it on the back side of the bezel. If it works great and if it does not you won't be able to see it!
  17. I am for McCain...the reasons... McCain has over 20 years of military history and over 25 years of political history. Obama only have something like 143 DAYS of experience in the senate. Even Obama's reverand does not like him. His wife also thinks she is better than everyone else. McCain is the lesser of the two evils. Obama being the first black president will not sit well in the southern US where racism is still alive and well. I've heard that there has already been something like 5 planed attempts on Obama's live. The sad part of that is then Biden would be president and then the world would be over as we know it. Biden is an ASS. I actually like Palin and would like to spend a night in bed with her to really see how she likes widelife! Peace to all! (:
  18. Where do you buy MBW cases to fit gen movements? I have two gen movements now that I would like to recase in a nice vintage MBW case but I don't know where to buy them. I know that Phong makes great cases, but can sometimes be very expensive.
  19. Seem like decent prices...anybody buy from this guy before?
  20. You guys that got one are lucky. I just missed the "line" to get one. I am a big fan of vintage tudor watches.
  21. I have an older Rolex (tudor)movment that runs great, but the movement has the brass colored metal showing in some places and not in others. Is there a way to plate the movement when it is apart for servicing next time? I just think it would look better as I have replaced the solid caseback with a see thru one.
  22. I agree. Where else might I be able to get a orig quality case to fit my 3135 Rolex movement?
