Rolex Submariner 16803 Two Tone (Blue/Gold) - SuperFranken Build

Good luck, what a cool project! -
Cool, try it out on a junk hand first to get the feel for it and a loop is your best friend btw, it really helps see the grain

That looks great! My hands were shiny like that too when I got them, not very gilt looking so I used three sheets of sandpaper 400, 800, and then 2000. Literally just a few strokes with the hand down on the paper in the same direction lengthwise with 400, and then switch to 800 and 2000 to finish it off. It creates a gilt appearance, and of course they are way less shiny afterwards. This is the result

Gorgeous Samurai! -
The other insert goes better with the 4 liner, win win. Ivan did the relume.

Phew, glad I made the changes then, OCD at its finest Thanks guys

Ok, so I wasn't quite happy with my explorer dialed 6538 when I first recieved it, it was nice but the lume was too white and it looked a bit off for me. The hands also didn't feel right, so here's my second attempt at it, it's been relumed a darker shade and the hands are slightly diff, I also installed a darker insert. What do you guys think, better? First 2 pics are the old lume and hands, next 2 are the new lume and hands and the last pic is a gen.

You're wearing Freddy Krueger socks, are you him!?

I've seen that one a little while back, yes incredible is right! Funny that Simon would be so rude when the exact purpose of the show is to find talent not beautiful looking people
-
Also to add, as others have mentioned in the past, using this site http://www.watchrecon.com/ You can find specific parts a lot easier than dealing with the weird search function on vrm, just type the part name or whatever in the search bar and voila
-
That's the best place to get authentic vintage rolex stuff, you'll get to know the main dealers of parts and have peace of mind knowing that 99% of the ads say money back if not genuine or as described.

True! Thanks Valty

+1 looks like the anti reflective coating on a sapphire crystal has worn off it has to be re-ar'd if that's the case..
-
You are exactly right.. Why bother? I'm trying to save some sod quite a chunk of change and ebay couldn't care less.. A bunch here and a bunch on rolex forums watch out section all report this pos and it's still up at over 7k with an hour left.. I wish the buyer could see all the reports so he could sue the pants off of ebay for not doing a thing about it
-
I'm a little confused, you are soliciting in someone else's thread and offering a service to validate authenticity of watches which we do for eachother here for free
-
Very nice, feels so good to get them back assembled and ready to wear! Enjoy
