Always strikes me as a really odd thing to do to a watch.... build in a sapphire crystal and the cover it in something that reacts very badly to wear and tear and/or chemicals. Is this how it happens on Gens?

Kinda reminds me of my Oakley Blades. Lenses tough enough to deflect a shotgun blast but with a plutonite coating that scratches if you just look at it too suddenly or too hard.

But (update) black nail varnish works REALLY well.

Isn't the bezel insert on both Toro's page and on PT's page EXACTLY wrongly places. Shouldn't the pearl be positioned at a "peak" on the bezel?

I'd appreciate an answer to this too. ALL the paint came out of my "6".

Anyone else having problems with the paint flaking off the bezel? ALL the paint has come off my "6" marker. Painting it back in (with Vallejo acrylic) didn't help. It just fell out again when I moved my thumb over it (as you would when you're adjusting it with the crown.
