Right here's the latest,
camera: fuji s5600
lighting: 5 x 60w bulbs in living room
now using tripod
flash turned off
whiskey has run out!
lager: 3 pints
background: black pillow
settings: all on auto apart from macro/self timer/highest res ( but not the 11MB raw mode! ) & no flash
processing : used photoshop pro's auto correct and cropped it a bit
The only thing I am miffed at is that even though the auto focus cross hairs where over the watch, the camera still favoured the guitar, then again at getting on for 4 times the cost I think I favour the guitar too......and don't you just love birds eye maple ?

first attempt with new camera, only had half hour to play with it, hope to get more time soon..........

Haven't had time to play with the camera for long, been churning the garden up with a ride on mower!
Anyway, here's my first attempt, hand held and using a 55w torch for lighting..........

I'm 31 in hexadecimal.......sounds much better that way.
Scored a Fujifilm S5600 off my wife this morning so I should be able to improve on my photos once I've found my way around it.

I tried to put this in the knowledgebase area but it wouldn't allow me to. Feel free to move this somewhere more appropriate.
I came across this site today, this guy has made his own watch and shows all the steps including cutting his own gears, he did borrow a balance wheel but the rest is his, I'm amazed..............
Don't suppose anyone knows him ?

Soooooooo, back to the original question then.
Does anyone know which file to buy from Cousins in the UK ?
I've seen plenty of cheap sets but they only have triangle and flat files in them at that size.

Ubi, I'm not planning on touching the case just the endlinks of the bracelet. Bending the bar doesn't help as the prob is right at the end , the body of the bar is up against the hole through the bracelet so the pin in the end is about 1mm too far back from the hole in the case, it's so annoying to see it there on the edge but no manner of persuasion will get it in, the other end is actually in ! so unless I can buy a suitable file ( which will give me a consistant hole through the bracelet making it more secure, I'll have to keep nibbling at it with my non-dremmel dremmel!

I bought a new bracelet for my dd but can't fit it because the hole through the bracelet is a midges [censored] too far from the watch, with a loupe you can see the springbar end half over the hole but that's the limit as the thicker middle part of the bar is up against the bracelet. I reckon if I make the hole oval by 1 mm then it'll go on, btw I tried a thinner springbar but still no go, even the orig bracelet is a sod to put back on.
So, I got out my rep dremmel ! and a small grinding stone , spins at 15million rpm in free air but drops to anything between 200rpm and zero the second it touches the metal
, so I thought a 2mm dia needle file would be a better idea, looked on Cousins site and they give the length and the cutting no. but no idea of dia does anyone know which would be suitable ? I assume 0 is coarse and 4 is fine but how wide a hole does it make ? BTW Cousins sent me a flyer last week with pictures of their range of asian movements, all reasonably priced too.

1. I found an old photo of me from 1980, I'm the bass player and yes the band was called that....... still ,we got paid £250 a night doing mostly 60's covers so not bad eh!

I think a reserve may have been set so one bidder can actually up the bidding price.
But wouldn't it say reserve not met at the top ?
Less than an hour to go on the sub, is someone going to be happy or sad ?

there's also a daytona , and history shows another rollie sale. Says the sub was serviced @ £800 not long ago yet there's no paperwork ? looks dodgy to me.................

It's prob an optical illusion but is the top of the coronet on the dial a gnats d*ck off to the right, or the apex of the 12 marker off to the left ? I printed your last photo from the opening post then drew a line through it.
Still, it's belter of a watch though.........
