  1. Here you can see a pic of the gen. The font it's quite different, but only a very expert could notice it. The thing is WE know it's not the same and we won't feel good until it's the same...., this is at least what happens to me.
  2. Personally I can't tell the difference with the Cousteau, but let me show you a few pics of my Slevin I've got yesterday. You can also see it on a slim wrist. I'm definitely going to replace the day/date DW (already ordered) and will ship the crystal out for a real AR, as the one is there it's a FAKE AR. How many of you have got the type swiss made, well centered?.... (mine is not )
  3. Yes Brian, it's strange..., but it might be a good thing for those who want to get this rep...
  4. The pic where we can see the L swiss made L very close to 6, is from the official 2006 catalog..., I don't think they would publish on catalog just preliminary versions...
  5. The 104 has the right "L swiss made L" position: This is from 2006 catalog though. On previous versions it was lower. It also seams that they made a version, probably the latest one, with open 6!:
  6. I'm sure many of you already know, but just to make sure... The L swiss made L on the Pam 104, it is right: They maybe thought it was the same for the 229..., but it's not
  7. Just a couple of other pictures of the gen, taken from my catalog of special editions 1997 - 2006: As you see, on the back, there are a couple of slight differences in the type position..., but perhaps this is something we can live with... What's a bit worse, is the type on dial "L swiss made L", which is too close to 6. What wonders me and I'm sure many of you as well, is how can they make all these efforts in building so much detailed new reps and keep making these silly little mistakes?... It's like reaching the top of Everest and at 4 meters from the very top, turn down and coming back!
  8. That's fine. I decided giving the chance to decide for the two options, just in case somebody was in real rush and couldn't expect any longer. The new run, hopefully perfect, will be ready in 25 - 20 days time. Obviously I will post when they will arrive. Thanks all for your understanding and patience...
  9. Right what I was thinking Warren... I like this watch a lot. On last year I went to the Panerai boutique, here in Firenze and asked if I could get one of those. They told me they were all booked out, but they took note of my name and said they would call me, if anyone would cancell his reservation..., but it didn't happen. So now I could get it somehow. It's just a shame that only 100 genuine were made and probably 1000 reps will be around soon....
  10. This is right what I meant when I answered to cskent69. Previous runs were almost perfect and as you said, only a very tiny non noticeable matter is there. On this last run, the problem is more important, although it's very noticeable only on three numbers: 10 - 11 - 12 and slightly on 7 - 8 - 9 - 13 - 14, but on 7 and 14 it doesn't bother at all. None of these numbers however, go out of the window even partially, so the numbers are all very well readable. Again, I'm not trying to convince anyone to get them this way, I'm just trying to show how they actually are, because I know that the level of perfectionism it's different in each of us and somebody could not be bothered much from this matter, especially if the price is 30% off (and I'm not even sure if my printer will let me pay him this less, but I'll take the risk) But he will surely re print them all, if I will show him they are not acceptable. So, nobody have to be worried. Here the problem it's just the time, as we have to wait other three weeks (no more than this) to re get them made again... and some of you guys are already waiting for a quite long time and that's why I'm so sorry....
  11. This is the pic of the DW you should have received. As you can see, if the problem is there, it's much less and not bothering enough. Try to compare yours and let me know.
  12. I added a scan of a genuine DW, hoping this could help. On the scan of the printed DW, as you see i added a red rectangle, which simulate the date window. I think that is the kind of effect we would have on a watch. Now I will make a photo montage, placing a dial over the DW to better show the issue.
  13. Hi all, I want to update you about these datewheel production. It was quite hard having stuff made around the Christmas and holidays time. However, I managed to get some Breitling DWs, which came here on the last Dec 31st. There were several people waiting for these DWs and have their name on the waiting list. Before starting to ship them away, I want to report to you about a little, or maybe not so little (depending on point of view), problem that unfortunately this run has. Basically there are a few numbers that are a bit moved towards the external part of the wheel.., these numbers are from 7 to 14. The other numbers are fine. I attached a scan of one of those, to let you see the entity of the problem, so that you will be able to decide if getting it as it is, or if you prefer waiting for a next re print. I added this scan of a genuine DW, to be compared to the print and see better the problem entity: Here is a photo montage that I tried to make as realistically as possible, to give you the actual idea of what this DW would look on the watch. Just remember that only numbers from 7 to 14 would be affected by this matter and only 10 - 11 - 12, would be the worse ones, before and after them, the problem would be decreasing... What would happen with these DWs, is that these seven numbers, would appear moved to the right, although still inside the window. Personally I don't like to sell DWs that are not working fine, so I'm ready to ship them back to the printer, but I have to warn you that this would mean to have them re printed not before three weeks time. This is because the printer is now closed and will open again only on next Jan the 7th. Another option could be that I take 30% off from the price, to compensate this imperfection, but I'm saying this, just because I'm so very sorry to let you wait so long to get them. Just let me know what you guys prefer. This being said, I would like to explain why some troubles sometimes happen on these DW production: Until now I always put my printer in charge to produce the clich
  14. Can you tell me what's wrong with the hands and with the dial coming with this rep? Hands looks correct length and I can't see any flaw on the dial too... If it's just because the lume, there's no point to pay $ 150 for a gen dial, when we can have a perfect re lume for
  15. I bought it yesterday for USD 235 shipped to Italy, without box. Angela told me it should take one week to get here....., but she didn't mention when she will ship it
  16. The re lume will be done by the person who I call "my printer", as he is printing all the DWs I make. But he will make re lume by hand. He asks around 35 - 40 euros for re lume and I don't charge anything more than this, only the shipping. Yes, AR is just slight on this model, but I want to make it anyway. Personally, as I'm in EU, I will send my crystal to Jakub.
  17. I just made my offer as well. When I will get it, I will definitely make those few mods to make it perfect, as the inside AR and the re lume. In case anybody could be interested, I could make re lume for you as well. My printer will use Superluminova.
  18. Hi Paul, you might have missed what my conversation with Eunomians was, earlier on this post... I'm just buying already printed DW sets from ETA and I'm not thinking to reproduce them, right because I was informed they come from ETA, with the right font. This will let me spend my efforts on other models then. Eunomians and Dluddy asked me one set of these ones, I suppose because they are not so easy to get from other sources. I won't charge anything on these ones, just the price I will pay, plus shipping.
  19. Hi Don, I will be happy to give you the second set. So now the three I ordered are all gone (one is for me ) I just hope they will come with the right font, as you all told me...
  20. I only ordered three sets, because I couldn't know exactly if anybody was searching for it. If you want, one set will be for you, as you told me about it.
  21. I'm going to try to get this DW by my spare part supplier, who use to deal directly with ETA at weekly basis. I will let you know if I will get it.
  22. Hi David, are you saying that if we buy the day/date wheels from ETA they have the right font to fit on these IWC? If this is what you mean, it would be great, as I would save much time and efforts. But it looks a bit strange, because if it would be so easy, why these reps don't have the right font on it? I thought that the rep producers were buying at least DWs from ETA... Anyway, please let me know, many thanks.
