Rep dial flaw very obvious, at least on pics. The DW window border is raised making it seem more recessed and the pr dial is too close to the edge.

Disgusting prices. Although I will prob end up buying one at a later stage in life just because a gen PP is something everyone needs at some stage.

I would advise against going with a cheapie. You might like it in the beginning but once you realise that certain parts of it aren't that accurate/good quality you will want the noob version and will struggle to sell the cheapie. $100 dollars wasted when you can get the noob for around $220 from sead.

Great post but don't worry about being called out due to the case back as strangers out in the wild should never be able to take your watch off and inspect it. The frontside is pretty accurate imo.

Guess it depends on your experience. If you just bought some vintage gear off craigslist the week before then I would understand them being upset. But if you have been diving for longer than the instructors taking the course and have been down very deep before numerous times then tell them to relax and FO.

Yeah I would say it is their fault... It's one thing approving pics of a watch because you can tell which model it is but a bracelet that looks near identical to the other model except for a mm or 2 in size?? That's like asking them to send you an asian 2836 movement because you need a new one and they show you pics of another one but you really have no idea as they all look the same so you accept it. Sure he will arrange a work around for this.

Sometimes it's best not to know the flaws then you will look at them all the time and want to do something about them. Best thing to do for now would be to move the pr needle to full and then you will pretty much have no one but a rep geek calling you out.

Might be best not to research the accuracy of the 5002 so you don't become OCD but there are quite a few mods available. Just enjoy the watch as it is because chances are you will never be called out anyway.

Any new consent on the lume colour? I see some people say it is just right and others say it is a touch too green. Seems like it would be an impossible tell unless have the gen at hand and in exactly the same lighting angle. Flaws such as numerals not touching when they should is easy to spot but slight variances in colour tone seem to be impossible to spot unless you have the gen. Gen: Rep:

I think the 029 is one of the super rep as has been mentioned. The 005 can be had for under $220 and IMO it is the best in terms of long term as any movement replacement can be done easily and cheaply without the need to buy an engraved movement.

Think it is pretty damn accurate. Only thing I can remember noticing different was the whiteness of the DW font was slightly less on the rep.

Would the REAL swiss not be more expensive than the superCLONE? Sounds ironic if the replica was more expensive than the movement it was replicating.

It's like this. You can get a super pam rep which is very accurate and has a very reliable movement for around $230 where as a lot of the brands are not as accurate, reliable and cost over $300. I was wanting to buy another brand but ended up getting my 3rd pam just because it is hard to say no to a super rep for $200 when the cartier I wanted was around $350 and still unsure about its accuracy.

It's always going to look big. Get it and enjoy it. I see so many people these days wearing uboats and TW steel's which are 50mm watches so I really wouldn't stress about the "lungs over wrist" saying.
