  1. Hi, as usual I need your advice....

I´m looking to build a sterile sub with a personalized dial to give as a gift to the winner of a golf tournamente y play once a month during the whole year.

1 - Where can I source a sub case to hold an eta 2824-2? This case needs to be waterproof, at least for recreational swiming.

2- I want a green bezel and as I mentioned before, sterile back and crown.

3 - Wich will be the best sterile rivetted bracelet I can get?

I´ve already found someone who can build the dial for me and I will also buy mercedes hands at the bay.

    I am missing something else?

    thanks

  2. I have two overlays from cubic works I bought about 1.5 to 2 years ago.  Took for-e-ver to arrive.  But unfortunately I couldn't use either of them as the printing is offset.  There's a thread about this in this forum a few months back.

I agree with what alligoat said.

sorry my english is not perfect and I can´t get the meaning of " the printing is offset"

  3. Hi!!!!

I finally managed to source an original rolex 1500 case, strap, crown & tube, blue dial, and donant Belair watch with an eta 2824, movement ring... BUT......

I´m having problems with the datewheel overaly. I ordered a couple of them, about a month ago, form cubic-works but they haven´t arrived and I can´t contact them.

When I try to reach them at their paypal address it looks like its not a valid address and when I use their web page I constantly get errors.

Has anybody dealt with them recently?

Are there any alternatives to get datewheel overlays?

    Thanks!

  4. Hi all,

I just completed a 1500 oyster perpetual date model 34mm for 1570. 2824 movement fits just fine, lined up dead center for the stem. I fashioned a spacer from the 2834 enlargement ring by whittling it down to almost nothing, but I found the standard case clamps hold the movement just fine without. Perfectly tight against the outside of the case and the dial pushed up all the way. So, this may be one of the easiest projects. Much harder to find a good 27mm dial than 28mm however.

Re. the comment above...some of the dial prices are completely out of whack. If I do this again I think I will start with the dial and then buy the appropriate case. I got a black dial with sticks for $36 after several second-place bids.

BTW, the 'wholesale' guy on ebay from Sugarland Texas has added some very cool alternating red/black date wheels for 1570 to his collection. Didn't try, but I've found his other stuff acceptable if just barely.

    Cheers.

Sorry to bring up an old post.

I´ve just bought a gen 1500 case and want to put an eta 2824 in it.

What are the best plug and play movement ring and datedisc that I can get?

    Thanks

    Marcos
