Great review and congrats to your new watch! Love mine ;-)!
-
I recently contacted a trusted dealer about obtaining a V3, here is his reply:
"The AP V3.. It is very badly flawed.. bad Hexagon holes on the bezel and bad lume application on the inner bezel.. I am not selling this unless it is sorted out by the maker... Also the maker lied about the watch being superlume.. It is never superlume..
There will be a much better one coming soon.... I suggest you wait for that .."
Any thoughts?
I guess it was from Andrew or Josh :-)!?

Where do you get a new gen insert from for $95? I have only seen scratched and faded used inserts for that sort of price, and I have seen new ones sell for a lot more. If you know of a reliable source for under $200, then please post it.
I guess right from the AD?!

Hey,
I need help of any IWC pros. As I think that my rotor is loose I need to open the caseback to check it. Any info on how to open it without special tools available!
best regards

I am searching for a 16610 gen insert :-)
-
Regarding the price of the insert:The seller wants 200 British pounds and that is way too much for a brand new gen insert!
If you need one PM me I have a few used and brand new.Pm sent ;-)

Here are two additional pics!

Hey guys,
Does this one look legit?

I got one offer from a member of the rolexforum and he offered me a brand new insert for about 250usd! I guess that's just too much! :-)

I need some advice from the Rolex pros on this board!
TC is building me a Rolex submariner and as the insert of TC is far from perfect I am trying to source a gen insert for it! I already got an offer for a brand new one, but wanted to know what's the current price for gen inserts! Does anybody has some insight? Any help would be highly appreciated!

An absolute winner...
Looking forward to receive mine ;-)

I want also a pm ;-)

The lever shape appears much more accurate on the noob. I also think the bezel markers look a lot better on the noob the pearl for sure. I guess we have different takes on these.

I love these comparison threads (BTW - thanks Mikellem) and I usually don''t read them for humour, but come on! With a review of one watch we get a bunch of comments about how we have been "Deceived", the watch is full of "Flaws" real C3 wasn't used and we should "Wait for V2"
As much as we all love the QC pics sent to us from the suppliers, really? Do you really think there is a factory with a quality control division keeping an eye on things. These watches are put together in a room that is dimly lit by the soft glow of a '70s style TV while the guy doing it is puffing on a clove ciggy with a bowl of noodles on his "Work bench ". Do you really think you can draw all these conclusions based on one watch?
I ordered the noob 243L before the CNY and I am with unregistered on this one. Mine came with an awesome clear single sided AR'd crystal and the lume was as good as unregistered showed in his post compared to a gen with C3. I have watches AR'd by Chief and lumed by The Zigmeister to compare it to and I was stoked on how good the watch looked.
As far as the lume goes I can't tell you what they used, but as per my usual routine I set my watch on the nightstand with my other watches (About six or or so other Gens or Reps re-lumed with C-3) and sure enough, when I woke in the morning, before I turned on the light, that 243l looked as bright as the rest, if not brighter as it is new. I was definitely happy with the discharge rate. If it wasn't C3 , could someone tell me what it is becuase I am going to request it be used on my next re- lume!
What impressed me most was the quality of the fit, feel & finish all the way around. This is something that will never translate in pictures that are posted to the Web and viewed on a computer screen no matter how good the pictures are.
Before we get all up in arms from one watch that was reviewed and claim we were "Deceived" and need a version 2, wouldn't it be prudent to remind ourselves these are Reps, not $8,000.00 Gens and there might, just might, be a few bad ones that make it through "QC"?
Right now, from the people who actually own the watch, the count is one thumbs down and two thumbs up. Not so sure we need a V2, you just need a little luck. And after all, isn't that life when buying a Rep?
I love my 243L and can't believe how far we have come in this little hobby of ours collecting "Fake" watches
So true! We should not forget that we are talking about replicas!

Eta 2836 or Asian have the same flaws with the GMT hand.
Can anybody confirm that statement?
-
What about the movement? I have heard several times that there are problems with the Asian ETA.
-
I am in the same situation. However, I am leaning towards the 088.
-
No lug improvements or any other changes? Is there a good fix for the lug problem? What's the better choice when considering buying the watch? The old h factory or the new one? Or should I wait until the "real" noob factory version is released?

Hey members,
I wonder what's the main difference between the 292k and the 292m version?

Does the noobmaker version still have the problem with the lugs?
Any reviews or buyers out there?
best regards

BS, there is somewhere a comparison thread floating around! The V3 is superior even OTB as the V2. It is a stunning watch with great build quality! It is one of my favorites!
