  1. I used to order my stuff from Ofrei, that was until Boob called me and decided to teach me a lesson in watch material ordering.

Since then, I have found a supplier that I have been using for 4 years, and have easily spent $1000's of my dollars with, they are fast - I get my orders in 2 days, they are friendly and professional, and they treat me like a CUSTOMER not like a turd like Boob Frei does...

What goes around will come around, BOOB wants to only deal with "Pro's", I guess someone needs to tell him that the total amount of watchmakers in the USA is probably not above 5000...the British Horological Institute has ONLY 3000 members, and with more manufacturer's keeping everything in-house, his clientel is slowly but surely dying or retiring off.

He's living in the past, and thinks that time is on his side, but look around, companies that have been around and highly successful for many years are failing. Treating your customers like crap, isn't the way forward.

People have a choice, I excercised mine and found a new supplier and have never looked back.

Ofrei are also crooked, my postage would be marked as $6.20 on the package, he would charge me over twice that amount, parts would be incorrect or missing from my order, they would ignore my emails and I still have outstanding parts and tools they owe me.

Boob Frei serves one purpose, he's a laugh when you get him going, I have fun with him hoping that I'll make him pop a gasket one day. I think he needs to take some Prozac or something...

Hey The Zigmeister, mind sharing who the supplier is?

  2. Absolutely love the 2254. I have a great rep of it and I have not even worn it (still in its plastic wrapping!). Though would love to get the non-america cup SMP 2230 .

Very tempting to get the gen 2254, I have to ask for a mate's rate. :p

Will let you know the asking price, b16a2. B)

  3. Not rare, but also not for sale anymore unless you are lucky to find one left over at a dealer. Check prices on WUS, a complete 95% watch that's still got it's serial number is going for around 1100 - 1200 as long as it's the automatic movement. The 2255.80 is my favorite (I own one), but the 2254 is a classic, and feels MUCH MUCH nicer than a sub. The cal 1120 in these is a workhorse that has proven itself and is one of the best movements in the business. I think mine ticks more smoothly than my friends gen GMT Master II.

    MUCH nicer.

And a great deal for the quality you get for the money.

Love the 2255.80 as well. Is the 2255.80 still available over the AD?

  4. Hi All,

Have a mate trying to sell me his Gen black SMP. He told me that this is a classic rare Omega watch (not available brand new anymore), has a great investment value to it. It is in mint condition and really good price.

Being a noobie, can anyone tell me if the above is otherwise true?

    Cheers

  5. Can only tell you that they ran a bunch of adverts about 12 months ago on ebay, but didn't sell much (if anything)

Have obviously got some AD connections, and based out of Melbourne, I think.

    Offshore

You reckon if their items are overpriced?

  6. Hi All,

Am interested in one the genuine watches listed by these guys on ebay. They seem to have a website as well (Google search for URL). Just want to know if anyone has deal with them and the quality of their watches.

    Cheerios ^_^

  7. Hello hello,

Received my second rep recently which is a Tag Link Chrono. Absolutely a gem!!.I know I have post this question on TRC, not trying to spam but just to ask a few around. Feeling curious as always, I went to the Tag website and had a look around. What confuses me is there seems to be 2 variations of the same Tag model number CJF2110.BA0576, Rep has CJF2110.BA0590 (one has "automatic" on the dial, one hasn't). I know it's a noob question, just want to know if anyone know or notice it?

    Cheers,
