  1. I think there would be loads (and I mean LOADS!) of interest in the SD, but the YM has been seen before.....

If anybody's taking notes, you can put me down as one of those who would definitely be interested in a SD.

  2. I hear ya mate, these noobs are getting worse and worse, with trades between members also, so I can only imagine what you poor dealers have to deal with day in day out! They are a serious threat to the hobby, its not worth putting up with peoples [censored] for such margins.

I'm at the point I'd almost rather give away a rep than try to sell it to the noobs on the forums these days.

Seems like everyone thinks they're buying at Sears or Walmart.

Here we have two textbook examples of the join date elitism and extreme group think that make this forum suck. All noobs are bad. Don't sell to noobs. Noobs are all the same. Noobs ruin the hobby. Blah, blah, blah. Feel free to take that broad brush you paint with and shove it up your ass.

  3. I've seen guys on this forum who have been members for many years with thousands of posts and their posts are generally useless and annoying.

I couldn't agree more. Several posts in this thread are proof positive of that.

I must say.........I've been a member of many forums covering a variety of topics over the years, but none compare to this one in terms of the number of people who think join date and/or post count are the be all end all when it comes to determining whether or not someone knows what they're talking about. You never know who's behind a screen name. That "noob" may have forgotten more about a subject than you ever knew.

In fact, I'd be willing to bet that if he had mentioned the dealer's name he would have been blasted with more criticism than he's getting here now.

Another comment that's right on the money. In the short time I've been here, I've seen quite a few members unmercifully attacked because they dared to make a legitimate complaint about one of the favorite dealers. I think one poor soul had to go into hiding in order to keep his neck out of the guillotine. I sure hope I never have a problem with a dealer.

  4. On 09-Apr-12 at 23:10:05 BST, seller added the following information:

HI AGAIN, FOR THE LAST TIME!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE THE AMOUNT OF EMAILS FROM PEOPLE POINTING OUT THE OBVIOUS. AT WHAT POINT WHEN YOU READ THE DESCRIPTION DO YOU NOT REALISE WHAT THIS ITEM IS!!! I HAVE NO, NONE, ZERO, NADA, NICH PAPERWORK WHATSOEVER!!! DO I NEED TO SPELL IT OUT ANYMORE??? IT'S A F**E! WITH A STARTING PRICE OF £200, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WERE BUYING? AT NO POINT WHATSOEVER HAVE I USED THE WORD GENUINE OR DESCRIBED IT AS SO!!!!!!

Wow, the seller admits it's a fake and the listing still hasn't been taken down.

  5. These pre-paid credit cards, do they work for international transactions (from the US)?

Yes and no. The temporary prepaid card you get at the store will not work for international transactions. After you register the card with your personal information, they will mail you a permanent card that you can use for international transactions.

  6. I agree that dealers should pay return shipping for DOA watches but I don't know how they could arrange it. I wouldn't expect anyone to send a replacement without getting the defective one back first. Dealers would send replacements and never hear from some of the buyers again. Meanwhile, the buyers have the original watch on their wrist and the replacement up for sale locally or on the forums.

  7. I just looked at pictures of more than 20 different "gen" PO's on Google and every one of them had the same "20". Maybe mine is a gen!

My 42mm PO has the same issue with the 20 and the 50 is a little off as well. I noticed it a couple of days after receiving the watch and of course I also did a Google image search to see what the gens looked like. I was surprised to see that the gen bezels have the same "flaw". I'm guessing that it's an unavoidable result of printing on a curved surface.
