  1. I have used the credit card payment once with Trusty (I usually buy from PT paying with cash or by Paypal). No worries, just a phone call from Visa asking confirmation of a payment to an obsure software company in China. I answerd yes and never heard about it again. I am quite sure this is a truly secured payment, but the prepaid Visa card sounds a good idea.

  2. Hi Guys

A friend of mine just brang his Navitimer (about 1 yeat old) to me. Look what happened: 3 of the screws fixing the bezel to the body are uscrewed.

If I could just remove the rotating part of the Bezel, I think I could put the screw back. Does anyone know how to do it?

Hope I am clear, English is not my native language...

    Any suggestion welcome!

    Thanks

  3. I have seen this watch on the cover of a french watch guide, and could not stay without trying to get one...

I have ordered the watch from Josh with a black leather strap, white stiching. The watch went with a quite poor strap (as usual) and black stiching. A white stiching replacement strap ordered from Josh did not prove more convincing.

I then started to surf internet and look for Rolex alligator replacement staps...without succes. The only solution was a geniune alligator custom strap, manufactured under my specs by a french workshop in Paris. Everithing has been done by email, 2 weeks after order I received a very high quality product, the result is there...

Well, the strap is not precisely cheap (170

  4. to the best of my knowledge, the gen Malte "Grande Classique" looks a bit different (second @ 6, dial, bezel). Check the Vacheron website. The rep is still a very nice watch and the chances of running into a Vacheron WIS are much, much less than with the usual rep suspects (Rolx, Omg, Pan)

Nice watch indeed, but after a closer look, a major flaw on the caseback AOTOMATIC arghh!!!

  5. Hi

I am thinking about buying either a rose gold Jules Audemars or a Vacheron Malte Classique (probably not to wear it much, but I like the look...)

I could find pictures of the Jules Audemars, but no picture of the Malte Classique.

Does anybody knows what if there is a gen Malte Classique looking like this rep (picture taken from Josh site).

    Thanks for your help.

  6. Ask PT about the second flaw!

PT says he can't do much about it. Here is his answer

"I have heard of this issue before with asian baljoux movement. There is a post on the forum about it.

On almost 40% of the asian valjoux newer movements this happens. Im not sure of the cause, but someone on the forum i think knows a fix."

  7. Hi

I're received my Navitimer from PT. It is a very nice rep, although I have got two issues:

I went to the dealer to compare with the gen. The rep sub dials color is cream more than white as on the gen. Have you noticed this on your own rep?

Also there is a bug with the hour sub dial at 6. The small needle moves all the time, although it should only move when the chrono is activated (see picture). If I push the reset pusher, the needle will go back to 12, and then start to move again. It is not a major flaw, but a little bit frustrating. What do you think about it?

Many thanks for your help and comments
