Hey Guys Check out tiger concept watch. They have a web site and are selling on ebay. Less than $150 if you go for the asian eta.
They have the look, not the logo
-
Old thread but had to bump it up. cc33 you are the man!

Bump

Ok. I admit it I was being lazy and I had a lame come back.
Thanks to all who answered my question.
The ETA 2836 (and clones) and Miyota 8215 (and clones) haven't changed at all in going on 5 decades now. The basics of hand size, dial feet position, etc are still the same.
Do a search, understand the information, and you'll get why thinking the answer might have changed doesn't make sense.
-
I would prefer the most updated information. As we all know the rep world has changed a lot over the years
-
Spring for the "swiss" or is Asian clone the wiser choice

Hello all,
I am ready to pull the trigger on the new BP sub with 21J movement but thinking long-term I wonder if the dial and hands will be able to switch over to an ETA movement at a later date.
I don't want to go for the high price now maybe do it in stages.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

This is EXACTLY what I am looking to either build or buy!
irate03 would I be able to achive this following your spec list? Your post is recent but I have been lurking around here and on HF and 6154 case sets and parts seem hard to source right now
-
I've been back and forth for some time debating about trying a build on a 6154. The last time I was lurking I was looking at Athaya's cases but it seems his site is gone, River has not posted in a long while, and Silix does not have any on his site either. Who is the source now for a 6154 case set? I guess the only options would be SS as the bronze cases seem to be as rare as the original 6154's!!

no one?

Hello all,
Has anyone purchased a rose gold day date or seen one? Please post pics or comments. I got bit by the rose gold bug, Date Just II would work too.
Thanks to all

Don't tempt yourself with a vintage 6263 or any paul newman daytona. Once see one you can
never turn away....
-
From who, and which is the correct version
-
Or get one from dw, he sells the 7750 one but better quality dial wise. In the 300$ range. He has been MIA for a while but has been slowly getting back on his feet. Just sent me 2 of them
cc33 do you have DW's contact info?
Diesels suggestions sound great, don't know that I'll be up for the challenge.
I have seen many a daytona on the forums here, is DW the main supplier for everyone?

This one has the 7750?
-
Which movement is the better choice? The handwind with the non working sub dial at 6 o'clock or the auto 7750 movement with working sub dials. Thanks to all
-
Yea, It's a hybrid. I did not know that rolex
made cases for alpha, must have been a limited run
-
Is the TT too much? Is it safer to go all stainless?
-
I am really liking the GMT more and more plus you can use it to keep track of the chinese time zone for the dealers sake. Amd there is no pearl on. the bezel to worry about
-
What's the significance of use on the GMT vs the Submariner? Obviously the GMT hand, but
for someone stays in one time zone is there another use? Like on the sub you can use the bezel for things like a parking meter? I guess I'm trying to justify myself in buying one!
-
will a unidirectional bezel assembly instal on a vintage no crown guard case?
-
Hey bumroxas,
What strap do you have on your 005? I have an Asso on mine and its so short I can only get the buckle on the second hole!
