  1. Ok. I admit it I was being lazy and I had a lame come back.

Thanks to all who answered my question. :)

The ETA 2836 (and clones) and Miyota 8215 (and clones) haven't changed at all in going on 5 decades now. The basics of hand size, dial feet position, etc are still the same.

Do a search, understand the information, and you'll get why thinking the answer might have changed doesn't make sense.

  2. Hello all,

I am ready to pull the trigger on the new BP sub with 21J movement but thinking long-term I wonder if the dial and hands will be able to switch over to an ETA movement at a later date.

I don't want to go for the high price now maybe do it in stages.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

  3. This is EXACTLY what I am looking to either build or buy!

irate03 would I be able to achive this following your spec list? Your post is recent but I have been lurking around here and on HF and 6154 case sets and parts seem hard to source right now

  4. I've been back and forth for some time debating about trying a build on a 6154. The last time I was lurking I was looking at Athaya's cases but it seems his site is gone, River has not posted in a long while, and Silix does not have any on his site either. Who is the source now for a 6154 case set? I guess the only options would be SS as the bronze cases seem to be as rare as the original 6154's!!

  5. Or get one from dw, he sells the 7750 one but better quality dial wise. In the 300$ range. He has been MIA for a while but has been slowly getting back on his feet. Just sent me 2 of them

cc33 do you have DW's contact info?

Diesels suggestions sound great, don't know that I'll be up for the challenge.

I have seen many a daytona on the forums here, is DW the main supplier for everyone?
