good: font is correct, position of ROC correct, perfect anatomy of subdials like gen, gen crown, daytona printed red over white like gen flaws: crown position little bit lefty, can be corrected, t-swiss-t correct font but little bit too lefty, daytona printing too bold but red shines genlike, you can draw it to perfection, subdials too white, also can be modified. ways better then DW etc, was a project for months! regards

after finally puchasing a gen bigred dial, my custommade by Phong bigred with correct subdials and font, gen crown etc. is for sale... there are still probably some flaws, but it`s one of the best rep dials you can get - and it was custommade... if someone is interested pm me... can`t upgrade membership, so I post here...sorry

no that`s not a different story, cause all of these guys are getting their plates from vietnam and all of them produce there. so if they now say we make new perfect daytona dials they only have new offers from the guys there. and the "new" offers for high grade daytona dials are based on these new plates with the new subdials - and these plates are on the market since this year - so it doesnt matter if you buy from david, phong ndt etc, the only difference is the printing, the plates are the same.

look at my bigred topic, there are also enough flaws but after months of emails and pictures I stopped for a while, I think Phong hates me :-)

that`s not a new project - in vietnam they try to produce them since end of last year. I told Phong in hundreds of emails that I can`t accept these crappy dials with the wrong font and subdials with wrong inner and outer rings, the bad coronets so they tried and tried to make it perfect.

these dials with the nearly perfect subdials are available on the market since months. they were produced in vietnam and so it`s not a new project. they all have perfect subdial inner and outer rings, whats the big difference and have the right font and the coronets are genlike.

I don`t think movement is gen, I think it`s very good work but not original, the colur of the train wheel bridge is not original. If you are very patient and spend a lot of money you can get a nearly perfect 727 with gen parts and correct 21600 BpH which has nothing to do with the "standard" 727 movements Phong shows on his homepage...and this one is in my opinion a typical Phong movement for his "special" customers.

sorry, that isn`t a 900 $ watch, is a 6k watch, perhaps build by Phong...the movement looks like his work

Phong`s parts are not perfect. But you can get nearly perfect parts from him if you ask him day and night. you need patience then you get fine stuff with a lot of gen parts.
