Didn't really consider it. First because I was under the impression that it doesn't fit without sanding the dial from the posts I've read. And second because I'm not very good with tools. I'm sure I would ruin the dial before it was over .

Go for the King Conquistador Cortez in SS, RG, or the Black Cortez. All are extremely accurate to the gen. If you want accuracy stay away from the SS White dial with black numbers version as that is a fantasy model.
Take a look at page 3 of this thread for what to look for when purchasing the Crazy Hours - http://www.rwg.cc/topic/146754-best-rep-of-all-times/page__st__40

Ok will do.... thanks...
Re incorrect numbers, are you saying it's impossible to source a crazy numbers watch that has the correct font?
I contacted several dealers and none could source the Jumbo version with the correct font. If you find one, please send me a PM.

G-Star and Diesel all the way..

This sounds interesting...good info thanks,...I'm in the market for a high end FM, was your friends dealer a TD on here?
Toad did a fantastic review on the crazy hours back in 2008... this is one stunning style of watch, would appreciate being pointed in the right direction for
one of these too...
All TDs have access to the same inventory. I would contact a few different TDs to get a quote on the watch you are interested in, and research if there have been issues reported for the TD you select prior to placing the order.
As for the crazy hours I've also been looking for the Jumbo version (with the Curvex case) but have been unable to find one with the correct numerals. All the models available come with the incorrect Long Island numerals (not the color, but the shape of the numbers). This image was provided by Guanaco at RWI.

Now we are getting somewhere :-) this was way before my time, pls let us know more about theese watches :-) how would the ar and attention to detail compare to todays watches? Can a 2004 breit beat a 2012 h or n maker? Remember. We are talking all time best here. Skickat från min GT-I9100 via Tapatalk 2
When I was researching Franck Muller watches I read about a Conquistador rep (not the Conquistador Cortez) that was available in 2006 or 2007 that was extremely close to the gen. Even the movement was the same due to the movements used by Franck Muller at the time. I think I read it on RG but since it's down I couldn't look it up.
Now the FM Conquistador Cortez that is currently available also has stellar reviews. A member purchased a gen after owning the rep and said amazing things about the quality of the rep (also on RG). If you're looking for accuracy stay away from the white dial with black numbers as that is a fantasy model.

I'm not wasting my time with you anymore buddy. You must have a miserable life. I feel sorry for you.
-
You are the one getting personal and I'm the fool? Time for you to look in the mirror.
And why is it not relevant how much the watch is selling for now? Because you say so? Grow up! I'm glad you used one of your 23 posts to insult another member. A great contributor you are!

The Blue AP RBII is made of platinum and only 150 units were made. Available for a mere $123,750.00. How many would you like? http://www.timeimports.com/designer-watches/pc/Audemars-Piguet-Mens-Royal-Oak-Offshore-Rubens-Barrichello-Chronograph-26078PO-OO-D018CR-01-214p1677.htm

I'm getting this Tumi one for $170 - http://www.bergmanluggage.com/tutrwaro.html?productid=tutrwaro&channelid=FROOG

Thanks Greek! I'll try. Did he ever give you a quote for this mod?
-
I sent domi a PM at another board but didn't get a response.
-
Before I ordered my RBII I contacted several modders and also the non-modders that had done the mod to their own watch. I wasn't able to find anyone that would do it. Now I feel better about not having this mod but if the opportunity came up to do it I would seriously consider. Let me know if you ever find anyone. I'll do the same.

I would get a Franck Muller King Conquistador Cortez. Very accurate and you have a choice between SS and RG. It's my next rep after the Hublot All Black II that I just ordered.
-
Not a big fan of gold or bronze but really liked this watch.
-
greek - my rep doesn't have the plate mod. This is my opinion based on the threads I read as part of my research and on my experience so far owning this rep.
-
The reps are not made like that because it's brand-spanking-new. Have patience!

you need a face-plate mod... And so do i.... and all the RBII owners on the forum....!
the face-plate is a dead give away....
almost got caught and it was really embarrassing....!
I have an RBII without the face plate mod and I don't think it's that big of a tell. The gen is a $60k+ watch ($120k for the blue version). I doubt many people out there have seen the gen or noticed that you can see the gears behind the dial. And besides, the person would have to be inches from your wrist to notice that you can't see the gears.

V6? Shows ya where the kid has been,i didnt know there was past a V2. Watch looks great man. Nothing screams rep more than a HBB,rep or gen but they are cool watches, when you might see one.
Surely you meant Rolex. Most people don't even know what a Hublot is.
-
Stick with the trusted dealers. You can find dealer reviews and contact info in the main forum page. The latest version of Hublot Big Bangs released is called the V6. From what I have read all V6 Hublot Big Bang models are considered very accurate reps.

Just wanted to share this with you guys in case you are interested.

Great pics! Enjoy your new toys!

The lap timer function of the reset button is pretty neat. Is that just for quartz watches or do some automatic genuine watches also offer that?

I've purchased from Angus and Andrew and prefer the customer service from Angus by far. And with Angus you get a 10% discount if you pay via Western Union, which is always nice.
