reps of this are very easy to spot mostly due to the "bulb" on the second hand being the wrong distance from the center. There are several other tells on this watch, which is why I ended up not buying it - even through it was the most attractive (at first glance) pam.

someone else i talked to also had the same issue, and his replacement 90 did the same...

The watch is really nice, only thing I'd bother changing is the glass - the mag over the date is weak.

Mine didn't come with a bezel protector or anything fancy like I see in your photos. Luck of the draw I guess.

hmmm, I decided over a year ago to get the sidekick2. No phone plan, pay as I go. That means they charge me $1 per day. In return I get unlimited internet access (aim, yahoo im, 3 pop3 accounts, web access, ssh2, etc). I can use it as a phone, that costs $0.10 a minute though.

I wasn't able to price anything even close to this.

Well, I finally switched to DSL after 6 or 7 years of cable modem and it's much faster.

Does anyone have a recomendation on some heavy bandwidth sites I can visit?

I know you didn't say this but...

DSL typically (In the united states) has lower available bandwidth but better latency. OTOH Cable can get slow if everyone in your neighborhood is downloading porn. In EU countries DSL can get to much higher speeds than available here

I've got 30 mbps download, 5 mbps upload speed with FIOS (Verizon), runs me less than $100 a month.

Rumor is that fios will be available by the end of the year with 100mbps to the home at a low cost.

Unfortunately it costs verizon so much money to install all the fiber, and a lot of time putting it in the ground, they're only able to do <2 mill homes per year.

I don't know if it would be cool to have that way or not, as I haven't opened my 63 yet. Just wanted to know if it's an option and what the crystal casebacks cost.

My 063 has the nice high end eta movement in it. Was wondering if it's possible to get a clear caseback for the watch? I just like seeing the movement.

I like my rotary far more than anything bwm makes. But if you want fuel economy, don't even look at the photos.

Tuxedo (striped) dial on the PAM029 is great and I like the numbers on the bezel. First time I looked at the PAM063, the dial seemed a little too busy.

I had the exact same feeling as you - I almost didn't buy the 063 because I thought the dial looked too busy and cramped. But in person it is well laid out and looks very sharp.

Hmmm.... too easy! Does this take a significant amount of force? It seems like it would be a bad idea to design a watch whose bezel was too easily removed. Thanks for your help, whenever I get around to putting an order in I won't be worried about the bezel anymore.

yeah, it took me a few trys before it popped off. There is a metal wire that goes on the inside of the bezel that does the "clicking" and forces the bezel to turn in only one direction. It's easy to put back on once you're done.

I was looking at the 063 with a magnifying glass and the bezel looks like it's part of the watch casing. I can't even feel an edge with my fingernail.

all you have to do is pop the bezel off (Use a knife or some other sharp object that can fit under the bezel). Just be careful not to scratch the rest of the watch when you pull it off. Once it pops off, remove the bezel insert. It's got double sided tape or something holding it on. So you can just slowly peal it off. I superglued my bezel back on after turning it.

Then snap the bezel back on. Entire process shouldn't take more than 2 - 6 minutes.

The bezel is held on with a compression plastic ring in the edge of the bezel. You need to pry the bezel up by working a thin blade all around the edge until it pops off.

Just got a new Pam 063, the watch is amazing. The problem is that the bezel (metal area around the glass) has a scuff mark on it. A replacement bezel is being sent but I don't see how it would be replaced.

Does the bezel unscrew? The Dealer recommended taking it to a watch smith.

btw, great choice. The 063 is going to be my first high end pam.
