  1. sound advice, and good to know. thank you
  2. very interesting, I was under the impression from what I'd been reading there was various quality differences and the $200 mark was pretty much the bottom of the pile. I've found a few shops in the UK selling genuine IWC second hand watches which are possible as they are pretty solid prices (serious watch shops too so not fakes), however this does limit my choices as I certainly won't be spending $40K. for $200, can I expect these watches to keep solid time etc, what sort of issues can I expect ? Very interested that you are saying these are the best quality fakes. Are there solid genuine second hand / used dealers on here also ?
  3. sorry, I think there maybe a mistake. I'm British, just outside London, I wasn't looking for "Safe bests", I said "Safe bets", as in dealers who are "safe" in terms of not robbing your money and sending out nothing or missleading websites that offer amazing products then send out crap. By best in my other comment I meant high quality, eg: you get what you pay for, you pay for quality you get quality at a fair price of the components/labour Not sure how my joining time has any relevence, I said I'm new to the replica watch market, I've spent a week or two of spare time looking around seeing some of the forums and "for sale sites" which is how I came here, as this site seems to have a solid repuatation in other forums. so yes, Joined Today, 04:13 PM and then posted....you have to join before making a post, so I browsed, had a read of some of the forums, found I couldn't access all of the information, joined, read a little more found some broken links, and made a post. I'm having a look through the link you posted now, so thank you very much, I noted some of the "recommended" sites on the forum are also now generic squatter/search engine sites, so is that list reasonably well maintained. thanks. -- edit -- I quickly found some super looking watches on the link you posted so thank you, however I'm quite shocked by the low prices $200, what sort of quality can I be expecting from these watches ?
  4. Hi, I'm pretty new to the replica watch world, well very new. I've found some interesting stuff on the net, and the sheer volume of scammers/sites selling cheap junk is pretty scary. I've come across this forum and one other that seems to be the "goto" for information and help. I was reading through the "noob read here" threads and found some pretty useful information of how to probe a little for more inforamtion, plus I also found a few of the links in the noob thread broken so I thought it worth trying to dive in and dig a little for more information. I'm looking to source a ICW 5004 replica, there is a limited edition model that's got a black face and blue markings on it, I've seen it advertised on various replica watch websites, with varying prices from $100 to $700, all advertising slightly different spec, winding/movement/attention to detail etc. If we could park the cost issue for one moment, and focus on basic functionality, keeping time and component quality outside paying $40,000 for a new one, who are the trust worthy quality makers that are the solid "goto" guys for IWC stuff, basically you pay for a quality watch rather than a watch that trys to look quality. Then narrow it down to who can get the slightly more unusual watches, such as the one I'm looking for (although it can't be that unusual as I've seen it all over the web). The noob forum posts suggests getting what you want clear in your head, which hopefully I've spelt out, finding out some informations on options available and then moving forward from there. So who are the high quality IWC makers I should be looking at as safe bets especially for someone new to the watch world. thanks.
