  1. No it's not normal for lume to fade in seconds. But on normal reps it is.
  2. Oh, so you want a discussion? Oh, so you don't want a discussion, but hear from everyone how you did the right thing? Oh, so during the usual back and forth of PMs while making a buy, you couldn't have said "Listen buddy, please send it like this and that; I'm going to pay extra"? Oh, so it was clearly stated and agreed upon, but everyone else is ignorant? If he pays you anything back, wow, what a nice guy. If not, well you're out of luck again. How can you expect every seller on this earth to be responsible for the package after it has been sent out?
  3. Nice read. There is a second company based in Japan that also makes and sells Shell Cordovan. Also with Cordovan straps, The ones that were made out of Cordovan only were pretty nice, but some use some sort of padding and only a very thin layer of Cordovan on top of that.. can't recommend those..
  4. I'm going to start the "Occupy Ubi" movement. I hope you have plenty of space on your front lawn .It's just not fair that 1 person holds all the rep and franken wealth of the community.
  5. But Amazon sends out what's pictured in the first place. Just sayin. Although I have never dealt with KB, I wouldn't doubt that he's gonna refund given his history and reputation.
  6. Sure, but stuff like that annoys me to no end. They put their time and money on replicating something and then are either too lazy or too ignorant to simply check if the hands are even remotely long enough. Or worse, do it deliberately. That one or two mm too short hand would remind me of that lazy ass rep factory dude whenever I check the time.
  7. You don't have to search for it. I was just curious. All the reps I have seen had the hand not even reach the markers..
  8. That's a gen Jones, right? The hands on the rep are too short..
  9. Nope. Paypal pretty much doesn't give a crap unless you bought something off the bay. Also if the sender has a receipt they wont help you either. It's not the senders fault that the post office has screwed up. Also what is insuring a package good for when it contains a rep, something that you aren't allowed to do business with in the first place? Are you going to show the guys at the post office the invoice from your replica dealers site and claim the money? They will have a good laugh. The whole insuring procedure with reps is good for one thing only: getting a tracking number. Doesn't matter if it is insured for 30$ or 300$ unless you can prove what was in it and that it was legit. At least that's how it works in Europe..
  10. It's one thing to get a remark personally and another to talk smack about someones wife. Quite a few guys will lay you out for that.
  11. You forgot to bring the essential Hillary-Tenzing-Explorer package.. http://www.highsnobi...rer-watch-pack/
  12. Yeah. I'm sure all the haters can't afford a 200 usd rep. It's not so much about whether or not something is big or expensive, but if something is screaming and begging for attention. So that's why people are questioning what someone is hiding behind huge, blingy, attention seeking stuff. Guys who all of a sudden can't live anymore unless they have 50mm abominations strapped to their wrist.. feeling that a 40mm or smaller watch makes them look unmanly and girly.. I think those people have a whole different set of problems other than the size of their watches. Having said that, Panerai is pretty much the only brand that I think is tolerable in the midst of the oversized watch craze that's been going on for some time now They were designed that way a long time ago and for a reason, being tool watches. Not because some nouveau riche guys think that the size of the watch should grow accordingly to how much money they spent for it, so everyone knows who's the "boss" from a distance...
  13. Well if it is supposed to be a 000 then for a start the caseback, the movement, the recessed cannon pinion, the crownguard including the pin if it is supposed to be one of the late models (don't know if the old models had the smaller polished crownguards).. etc. Have a read on the new Panerai reps, there are plenty of threads. I suggest you get one of the new closed caseback models (like 000, 005, 318, look for Noob-factory or H-factory) from one of the Trusted Dealers of this board or have a look at the sales section. They sell for around 200 USD and you get a watch that is visually extremely close to the real deal. A couple of years ago you had to invest a lot of time and substantially more money to get a rep to a point that was as good as what you now get right out of the box. As long as you don't have bad luck with the movement you will probably be very happy with one of them.
  14. No sh!t, Sherlock. Are you implying that they make movies to make money? Oh my.. Flemming's Bond doesn't wear a Submariner either..
  15. Well if you like it and it was only 90 usd it's ok of course, but if you want an accurate rep, this isn't it.
  16. Do yourself a favor and buy a H-factory or Noob logo dial Pam. The one you got looks like what the dealers were selling like 10 years ago.
  17. Of course a replica. Hands wrong, date wrong, case wrong, crown wrong, hour markers wrong..
  18. Let's all get supersized, so we can pull off 60mm wristwatches...
  19. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=rolex+singer+dial
  20. Because for 800 you will get one that is 50 years old and looks like it is 80 years old and has probably been tempered with by people who don't know what they were doing. Then you send it in for a service and pay another 800..
  21. lol @ 123.000 hits.. I don't understand why this page is getting listed on google.. Whoever looks for a review of the nomos will end up here.
  22. Oh wow, you sure have a hard-on for this guy... All fantasy replicas, all with the same subdial-layout. Either it's a rep, or a 1000 dollar watch with a fantasy company name and a 10 dollar movement. I doubt that any respectable company would release something that looks like that.
